At this stage each section has had the edges chamfered and brown caulk applied to the bank sides of the bocage. I have added pieces of felt and laminate underlay on top to break up the flatness of the boards. The first piece has dried and flocking has been applied to the top and edges. I was going to permanently fix hedges to form bocage, however I think using loose pieces of hedgerow allows more flexibility with my terrain.
The other three pieces should be finished by tomorrow, I can then place them on my board and hopefully they blend seamlessly in to the landscape.
They’ve turned out rather nice! I assumed you were just making the bocage bit, ie something to sit under the hedge, didn’t realise it would be a whole field as well. Very nice, particularly like the idea for breaking up the ground level!
