Here is the latest work for my 20mm armies, Légion Britannique using Zvezda plastic figures a conversion by paint.  May not be a perfect match for uniform style but it works for me.  Flags by David at “Not by Appointment”.  Mounted officer an Airfix conversion and based on 40 x 40mm MDF.  Deployed as light infantry.

I always wondered how good a match for the official uniform was the uniform men wore, especially after a few weeks in the field 🙂

But they do look really nice as usual

Cheers for the kind comments, yes Jim I am a great believer that uniforms in the field are markedly different from the official doctrine.  You should see the state of my uniform after 3 months on war patrol.

My daughter claims that I cannot wear a suit for a full hour without it looking like it was made for somebody else and was broken in for them by their dog 🙂

The speed you’re painting these beauties you’ll need a church hall for the next game 🙂

French Militia battalion 20mm Zvezda plastic figures.
Finished these today.  I know that militia did not carry flags but usual I have added a flag,(Flag by David “not by Appointment).
Though I have recently found out that all my figures are members of the “Toy Soldiers and Model Figure Union” and they informed me that if flags are not added to units they will not fight😁.  Don’t ask about their pay rates and fringe benefits.

The best thing about their uniforms is that with a command group swap and a different flag, we have several other French generic regiments.
