December is here and I usually dig out a Bulge game to cover the battle’s anniversary, but thought I would do something tactical for a change, so Scenario 1 went onto the table.

This is a night action and the Germans must capture a crossroad and a nearby stone building. One of many similar actions that occurred all along the front as small groups of GIs put up stout resistance on road junctions to slow the enemy. The two objective hexes are worth VP’s to both sides, plus any casualties caused will enter the final victory point calculation. I have put a bit of a write-up on my blog for anyone interested.
