ParticipantHey everybody, we at TerraForms Terrain are pleased to announce the upcoming Kickstarter for our terrain!
We are TerraForms Terrain and we are by gamers, for gamers. We want to bring you the best that we can in terrain for your wargames tabletop. We’ve been busy designing and prototyping terrain suitable for use with 10mm/12mm scale or anything from 1/140 to 1/160 scales. We were designing these terrain pieces just for our own gaming tables, but decided to ‘go big or go home’ after enough people asked us when they could buy them and what our website was for orders. So we started doing some research, and ended up setting up our Kickstarter.
We go live tomorrow night, 25 May at 8pm Central/9 Eastern. Drop by our Facebook page or come visit our website. If you drop us a ‘like’ on the page you’ll get the notices when we post, and you can be sure to be one of the first to get to the Kickstarter page and lock in one of the limited early shipping pledges! If you have questions, concerns, or comments feel free to drop us a line on FB, or post here (yes, we’ll be checking back!) and we look forward to going live! Spread the word with your friends, help us get the pledges we need to get funded and start knocking out stretch goals because everybody loves free stuff when their shipment arrives!

ParticipantMr. Average, Heavy Gear: Blitz is the game that I primarily am playing and was the main reason we started into terrain design at all. I started designing terrain to print out on a 3D printer just for my own table and people began asking where they could buy, what my prices were, etc., so we started doing the research and decided it wasn’t a bad idea to go big with it. 🙂 So yeah, it’ll work perfectly with HG:B, but it was also done with the intention of being fully compatible with anything in the 10mm to 12mm range.
You should check out our FB page at http://www.facebook.com/terraformsterrain or our website http://www.terraformsterrain.com and look at our galleries. We have plenty of designs for everything from badlands settlements to industrial facilities to sci-fi high tech stuff to dense urban settlement terrain. We wanted to fully represent any settlement or city on Terra Nova or any other wargames world!
Michael I don’t know if it’s my PC or the website but there’s no option here to link that photo of the residential highrise building from the FB page. The visual/text selection doesn’t seem to be functioning properly.

ParticipantThis is a pic of a piece on the workbench. We haven’t cleaned up the prints for the top two floors or the roof topper (the white parts) and there has been zero post-processing done for any of the floors. It looks rough, it’s got a lot of work to be done (maybe a reprint of the bottom floor, I’m NOT happy with the way the doorman’s kiosk came out) but it’ll be a great looking piece by the time it’s done. This image helps you get an idea of scale. This is a HUGE piece, almost 8″ across and about 6″ or 7″ tall.

ParticipantI know there were a few of you who pledged (Kickstarter tells me things like where the traffic came from, tee hee!) so a HUGE thank you to everyone. We are 111% funded, we reached 100% in under 24 hours! Thank you guys and gals, and don’t be afraid to keep showing friends and resposting links. We’re working into stretch goals now and that means free stuff for each pledge package. Show your gaming buddies, post it to your gaming forums (other than here obviously!), ‘like’ and share our Facebook posts on your wall. Thank you again!

ParticipantHey everyone, we’re running out of “Early Shipping” pledge levels. If you’re just watching the pledges you may want to lock in your pledge sooner rather than later. If you’ve got some friends who are watching but haven’t backed yet, you may want to let them know to go ahead and pledge or we may run out of the early ship pledges before they get in!Check out the Kickstarter and while you’re at it drop by our Facebook page and give us a ‘like’ to get the latest news and updates-

ParticipantThanks so much, Mr. Average! The “Futurist” package is a good one, several of those pieces will make great ‘oasis tower’ type pieces (in particular the defensive and service towers)! You should consider picking up a “farmsteader” package or at least a few of the rural pieces as well, the look of those pieces will make for a good surface settlement built up around your oasis tower. A few bits and bobs, some wires trailing here and there, and you can add a very sci-fi and space-age look to them, giving it an overall appearance like Mos Eisely spaceport or Niima Outpost. Just add the costs for any extra pieces to your pledge amount and you’ll be able to finalize ones you want from our BackerKit pledge manager upon closure of the Kickstarter. 😉
