Recently I picked up issue 88 of Wargames Soldiers & Strategy from a local hobby shop (USA).  A special thank you to Michael Leck for 2 scenarios in the issue with each scenario designed for 2 separate rule set — CONGO and The Men That Would be Kings.  Very thoughtful and practical.  Awesome job Mr. Leck!  I look forward to trying them out.

Keep up the good work Wargames Soldiers & Strategy and I will keep on purchasing your magazine.

Yes, a superb magazine that really feels like it is written for wargamers by wargamers. Always  a few good interesting scenarios in there and avoids the ‘history’ type articles, giving favour to wargame pieces.

I really appreciate this basic concept. It’s a sign of the vitality and warmth of the miniature gaming scene that there are so many popular rulesets coexisting companionably and more keep coming along at a steady pace. Acknowledging and endorsing that by publishing scenarios designed for multiple rulesets at once is a great idea. I wish it were done more often.

I agree that WSS is a superb magazine. Also, Michael Leck (AKA Dalauppror in the online community) is an inspirational hobbyist who writes great articles.

Thanks Norm Smith and Rhoderic for expressing the idea on my mind more eloquently than I did.  I have not thumb through the whole magazine yet so my apologies to other WSS author(s) if they also provided scenarios with army lists for multiple rule sets and I did not mention his/her name.  I’m just excited about Mr. Leck’s scenario because of what I have been painting as of late.

Norm Smith.  History is what brought me into this hobby so I do enjoy a bit of historical background in various articles as well.  Scenarios that I can use are what keeps me coming back though.
