A while ago, I took up the fifteen minute painting challenge as described by Sidney Roundwood. Basically, you spend 15 minutes a day painting and it is surprising how much you can get done even in such a small amount of time. In this video, I timed myself painting these late war British infantry and you can watch the results here:

A good idea, but not having a dedicated painting area, makes it harder for me to achieve, as I have to wait for the kitchen table to become free, as it has the best lighting for painting in the house. If I did have my own area, I’m sure I would achieve a lot more…
Enjoyed your video. I have started paining in smaller batches now and much prefer it to being overwhelmed by big batch painting.
Cheers chaps, glad you enjoyed the video. @Steve, yep, I understand that, I used to only have a stool to paint on which was no bigger than 12″ square…

Get a painting tray. You can stash it away quickly or produce it at short notice.

Regular painting, even in short bursts, has really helped me get more projects finished over the last couple years.
Here are some pics of my set up—a painting tray that can be placed in any convenient spot in the house, and the corner of the kitchen where I store projects-in-progress, paints, and supplies.
