One of the games played at last month’s meeting of the DWG included a Napoleonic clash set during Napoleon’s 1807 Eylau Campaign in Poland, using the computer moderated game system Carnage & Glory.

As you say nice to see a variation on campaigns we didn’t really understand, like this 1806/ 07, until now.
The wealth of ‘new’ information released in English is overwhelming in detail all the same- rather than the previously somewhat unbalanced ‘reporting’ on events in history.
So too the improved clarity of information on opposing Generals and their actions equally enlightening.
My focus on the early campaigns though driven by the 1805 French (and not mainstream gaming of Peninsular or 1812/15), but forced to adopt an Austrian ‘enemy’ by 1992, thence expanding to ‘associated’ Russians latterly, has greatly improved my knowledge and understanding of the period.
Enjoy your group and diversity, cheers d
