Trouble contacting Little corporal ?

Hi Lads

I placed an order back in January with Little Corporal, which is still showing as pending.

I have emailed them repeatedly, phoned them & sent a message through Facebook messenger. never heard anything back.

Has anyone been in touch with them recently or heard of any reason why their comms could be down ?

As you may have seen, for several months from June to December of last year, I have been out of the business due to severe health issues. This has created a backlog of orders to be processed and in many cases procured from the USA.

To catch up on this backlog and ensure that existing customers and orders are all fully serviced, we have taken the decision, with Splintered Light (USA), to temporarily stop taking any more orders on this range until 3rd April  2023.

I cancelled the order once he got in touch with me.  His special offer was too successful and he had to cast a lot of models to fulfil the orders placed and would have been a long delay before dispatch,  so I ordered some stuff from Museum miniatures instead.

Which method did he eventually respond to? I’m in a similar boat with an order from December last year, got one email in June promising further correspondence and nothing in response to my queries either side of that. I can see that he’s updating Instagram and Facebook very regularly (am not particularly happy at having to resort to the latter after a decade of ignoring it). I’m just trying to get the money refunded – not fussed about the minis anymore.

I contacted him today by joining Facebook and using the Messenger thing. He replied straight away and said he would look into it, I’ll let you know if I get anywhere.

He promised me a refund last Friday, the 29th, I’ll give him a few more days and give him a nudge if nowt comes through.

Another week gone by and no money, he just ignores my messages now. He is on FB showing off new stock that he has for sale, he can buy stock but he can’t refund me!.

Unfortunately still waiting for the refund too. It’s a shame that the people losing out seems to have been the ones giving him the benefit of the doubt over shipping issues and health.

It’s taking quite a bit of figurative tongue-biting to keep the largely one-way correspondence courteous, especially when the (still unfulfilled) promise of a refund came with an offer of a discount to reorder the items “when they do arrive” and “which are expected soon”. They’re still available on the website with a note that they’re hoping to be in stock again from June 2023…

It is very frustrating, I started leaving disparaging comments on his FB posts. He has now promised me a refund this week, so I’ll have to give him another week. Then if nowt comes of it I will look into using the small claims court.

Back from some remote cat sitting, and still no sign (though I did get a refund from the train company within 48 hours for a delayed arrival, so it can happen!). What was the nature of your comments on his posts? I might have to go down that route.

Hiya Idle, he was showing off his new stock so I commented that if he had money to buy new stock then surely he could refund me. On another of his posts advertising something I said something like why would anyone buy this when they probably would never get it.

I deleted my comments when my refund came and also deleted my Facebook account which I started solely to contact him.

I also looked into the Small Claims Court and would have used it if necessary even though it was only 65 quid.

Success, at long last! We’d had the refund shown as pending in our account for about two weeks; presumably he needed to sign off on it.

Good luck to him on the business going forward, but I don’t think I’ll be taking him up on the offer of 50% the next order.
