Please see here for a Nuts! 1940 AAR, as the remnants of the Tyneside Scottish attempt to escape the German patrols and reach some degree of safety…

I enjoyed reading that, it got quite tense toward the end…

Hope the good Colonel survived his wounds?

    Many thanks everyone.

Yes. Sorry about that!  Although it did have a shade of “Platoon” or “Von Ryan’s Express” to it, I thought…

Hope the good Colonel survived his wounds?

Yes, he did.  Wounded and captured by the Germans.

    Umm-hmmm…

So, now that the Tynesides have been beaten up and their CO captured, what’s next?

These two were very much a prologue, partly to get me back into the rules, partly to test the set-up (I am using a different room for my gaming now after a house reshuffle).  The plan is to now switch and follow some units which, although involved in some very hard fighting in the same campaign, did not face quite the same disaster as the unfortunate Tyneside Scottish!  Also in the pipeline are some more air warfare games,  more Napoleonic stuff and some Ancients battles.

Good luck with that then, playing with our toy soldiers, is a good way to escape the real world for a bit!
