    Played in a ‘bring your own force’ VSF game at the local this past Monday.  Didn’t / don’t do the genre, but had some colonial Brits and natives for getting into pulp stuff that would serve. Each player could have a machine of some sort, so I dumped out the bitsboxes (fed by the ‘buck-a-bag’ toy parts bin at the thrift store) -old pic:

     

    …and slapped together* a two-day project: a steam walker wielding a captured Martian heat-ray –

    The side blade comes in handy to keep the stern free of interference from those the fellow riding shotgun can’t draw a bead on…

    dunno what I’ll do with it now, but it was fun for the turn-and-a-half it lasted before I rolled two 1s (d20) for a catastrophic explosion…oh well  ; )

    It is not a good VSF game without at least 1 catastrophic explosion.  Great looking model!

    Thanks, all.

    Related to the ‘favorite model’ thread…I couldn’t think of one beyond the general category of ‘what’s on the bench now’ = the one scratching the itch, as it were.  ; )
