Yesterday was a very pleasant day spent in the company of good friends visiting the 38th Warfare hosted by the Wargames Association of Reading.
If you would like to read my thoughts on the day together with pictures of the games that caught my eye then just follow the link to JJ’s

Good report and photos! Many thanks!
I have only been to this show two or three times and was hoping to go this year, but was not able to in the end. It is a nice show though, isn’t it!
My favourite show too. Not that I got to see any of it, mind – I was busy for 5 hours non-stop, running three participation games in succession. This year instead of our usual single big BBB game, we (OWS) ran two small games that took ~1.5 hours to play: Montebello 1859, and Nagy-Sallo 1849. (The Dunstable Generals also ran a splendid Gettysburg BBB.) It was manic! But worth it: some exhausted referees but a lot of happy players, I think. A big thank you to WAR for organising it, as always.
