I painted up some of the plastic Aztecs from Wargames Atlantic as a fantasy warband for Five Leagues From The Borderlands.
I am painting up some more of them for the “opponents” groups that will be a tiny bit more historically accurate o.0

Nice paintwork. Shame the joins on the arms meeting the body is obvious, perils of multipart plastics for flesh I guess. Still tidy though.
Thank you. The joins aren’t perfect, the models are VERY heroic for historicals, and they aren’t 100% accurate, but I’ve been waiting for hard plastic Aztecs in a scale I use since the early 1980s so I still love them 🙂

Very refreshing to see something used for a fantasy game other than the traditional semi medievalish figures.
Nice job!
They take paint well. Nice brush work. I also like the huts. They look good.

Thank you. I’ve been wanting to Aztec fantasy since the late ’80s, and now it’s all coming togeter. My other “big” solo campaign is set in Glorantha and features Hellemized ducks as the main protagonists. I also have a Medieval Fantasy campaign, but for a bit of difference, I made it Spanish instead of Continental. And because it is Fantasy, Ancient Egypt is right across the Strait of Gibraltar. For their next zone of adventure.

Thank you. They are, in fact, pretty easy to paint. I need to get more printer ink to make a bigger village.
