I know you are asking about 15mm “Bandit” and the smallest scale figures I do are 20mm, but I use florist wire for my lances not sure of the gauge I took some figures over the garden centre and matched the figure to the size I wanted. Also I bought some really thin strong wire from “Antics” (one of group of model shops) it was about £1.50 for 600mm. very fine and would suit 15mm, the only trouble is that it is very sharp and don’t half hurt fingers tips when figures are picked up wrong.
Try this I use 1mm on 20/28mm figures this is 0.5mm it might work
