Participant?..Which game are Quar Royalists from?
The Quar come from their own world in 6/15/28mm from Zombiesmith https://zombiesmith.com/quar/
Some of the rules / fluff are free but the skirmish set is based on Flying Lead (from Ganesha Games) so is chargeable but PDFs are available if you do not want the book.
Zombiesmith models have always been on the “strange critter” side of things – Patreon page.
But are great – Andrew Beasley

Participant>>What’s on your –
I recently built, then modified, some 25mm minifigs© French 4 pounders, because:
-they’re not accurate, and
-I wanted to have a couple of something slightly different that can be used as the 1804/ ANXI model new 6 pounders- –
These are just placed in mock-up pose, but you can see the lower set are narrower than the originals (top) and I’ve moved the barrel trunnion positions. Biggest change is getting rid of the fake axle boxes that are there simply for the models!

Well frankly if people can push around half inch pieces of cardboard, I see no reason this can’t work as well! The dream of a genuine “pocket” miniatures game is within your grasp, if you have but the will to seize it! I’m finally getting in the direction of a 3D printer myself so I might undertake it as well.

My goal is to have a tiny travel wargame kit. At this scale measuring distance is a pain, it need gaming surfaces with grids or hexes.
Another idea I had the other day while taking the photo was to use these minis to display unit strength for boardgames 1″ counters or card games. In the photo they’re on an ID card. Boardgames should also be easier to solo.

That is a noble goal! I’d like to do something similar. In fact you have me looking over my spares box for some parts to try it myself – you might want to take a look at the game “Swatters.” It might suit the purpose nicely and also make measurement way easier since it has Ganesha Games’ typical Short/Medium/Long movement sticks.
My personal goal would be something on a 12” or 18” board. Possibly round boards. However, my travel size modular board with hexes works very well, and the concept is proven.

As of SEPTEMBER- –
While I’m not proud of my lack of progress over the dull Winter days-
- the CRM Russian Artillery company (all 12 figures) got completed and based, albeit falsely using 6 pounders as the ‘heavy guns await.
- The 3/5th Jaeger have edged foward- given 7 new figures had to be brought along the trail… to complete the unit and deploy before November.
- The miscellany of French ADC’s and staff have also quietly crept along. None will get an early ‘mounting’ as such, but that leaves the actual ‘commanders’ to be individually worked on.
- The poor 10eme Legere… two years development and barely touched. [Add those revised cavalry ‘elites’ into the same category- the big 3 that mostly deserve attention I promised myself…].
- However, tinkering and sample painting on the ‘Allied’ forces when I’m ignoring the balance of the French isn’t good enough- so I pulled out a 3/4s done battalion for the 1/108 de ligne (1800/ 1805- Davouts Corps) and with a game due in a week will get them completed and based by Sunday. All the fusiliers anyway including specialty ‘eclaireurs’; the elite companies for 1805 will be painted from scratch afterwards.
So, one could say there’s been a little action, but not a lot of progress- sounds like some of my historical life reviews… :~)
cheers dave

ParticipantThis week, I ar mostly been painting… the Undead!
It being October already it seemed seasonally appropriate. And as I now have a nice, neat, clean and well organized studio space, I desire to take advantage of it, both for my comics and my games! So I got my Undead army off to a start with some Wights, both infantry and cavalry, and my goal is to paint up the whole Undead force by Halloween. Let’s see if I can make it!

Hah! Actually I have it to where each project has a drawer and a removable tray, so if I change interests, I can put one away and take the other out. It finally works!
