This was an idea on my mind sometime ago. Since Michael announced his 15mm Fantasy thing! I said yes I also need to do something.

First I started with a house, But my resources finished then I start to look other materials.

I am not sure what they call this material but it’s durable and easy to carve plus cheap. But searched it in my new town and nobody sells it. 🙁 Need to go Istanbul.

Next material is a kind of isolation material used for house isolation. It’s also easy to carve but with some different methods.

Result was satisfying for me. It’s really good material for monumental structures.

Now results after molding, pouring resin and painting. Master model broken while going out mold. All of them !

And finally this is my chicken thief monster

Are you getting into the 15mm fantasy buisiness too then Ali?

And on a related note, is the 6mm stuff doing poorly sales wise or are you guys just doing this because you feel fantasy is better suited to 15mm.

It is a complicated answer for me.
Angel Barracks is selling as good as normal.
(Actually better over the last few weeks than it has for a while)

I am finding that making 6mm sci-fi during the day takes away my excitement of wanting to play it.
I kind of got burnt out.
However there is plenty of 6mm AB goodness in the pipeline, so don’t worry about that side.

I wanted to be able to play some quick and easy games of the evening with my wife, and 6mm sci-fi just is not appealing.
I wanted something quick simple and different.
I have recently started Conan on the Xbox and that gave me the idea to play Conan style games.
So I bought the CC figures.
I then of course decided I would make my own terrain and stuff and rather than buy it, immediately I thought rather than make one off models for me, why not cast them so I can have more than one and also sell them too.

So my 15mm fantasy is a combination of burnt out 6mm sci-fi, wanting something my wife and I can play, and selling it as money is always useful, so the landlord tells me.

    😀

Thank you! And yes I want to produce first for myself then for people who want to purchase. 6mm stuff was not bad for me last 2 weeks thanks to my missile base. But I just want to try new things, and I believe family members also can join “Crom” games since it has very simple but fun rules.

What an awesome temple set-up! The house and the figure are great too, but that modular temple is quite excellent. I’m personally still not fully convinced about doing 15mm swords-and-sorcery, but that’s mainly because I’ve already purchased so many 28mm figures for that same theme in the past that I really should give my attention over to them instead. At any rate I’ll want to make a similar temple to that one, the modularity of it so cool! I remember seeing something similar in 25/28mm from another manufacturer years before but can’t recall that manufacturer’s name.

Reason for 15mm is simply size of buildings and price of 15mm figures.

I totally get the appeal of 15mm and understand why it would be an excellent choice when you’re setting off with a clean slate. In my case it’s just that I’ve already spent a fair bit of money I’m not getting back on 28mm swords-and-sorcery figures and they’re now making up a sizeable portion of the sheer volume of my lead pile
