The Yarkshire TV crew have been filming down at the games room and produced another fly on the wall documentary.

New units, new purchases and even a bit of solo gaming. If you’ve nowt to do in lockdown give it a watch.

Enjoyed, thanks. I like the shading on your figures, as the recesses are caught but the highlights stay clean and am guessing that you used a thinned down polyurethane, like that sold by army painter …… or even one of our DIY stores, Am I close?

    Hi Norm,

I put an answer on my blog post but for visitors here, I don’t use the Army Painter dip at all, in fact I think it dulls down figures and can destroy detail, great for getting high volumes of figures on the table very quickly but not for me.

My paint style is mostly triads of colours (base, mid tone, highlight), dry brushing and selective use of washes, often over small areas rather than entire figures.

I’ve done some painting tutorials on my Utubes channel Yarkshire Gamer if you want to see my no nonsense methods.

    Regards Ken
