One of the games played at this month’s meeting of the DWG was a very fun prototype game of a new set of rules developed by two club members.
The rules and the game system have been deliberately built around the films that capture the iconic battles of the Zulu War, particularly Zulu-1964 with the late great Sir Stanley Baker ably supported by Sir Michael Caine in the roles of Lts. Chard and Bromhead.
Much fun was had and plenty of VCs earned and if you would like to know more then just follow the link to the club blog.
It was indeed a very fun game, and as I mentioned in the post, a system and thematic set up that I am surprised no one else has thought of doing for playing this scenario and indeed the wider Zulu conflict.
I’m sure the wider hobby will be informed about progress as and when but I know Lee is keen to play test and refine things a bit more, so we wait and see for the T’s to get crossed and i’s to get dotted.
