I look forward to following your progress with this campaign. I hope you don’t mind, but I went through your site and cut and pasted all the scenarios you put together. If I ever get the rest of my minis painted, I hope to play through them. Thanks for the inspiration…

    regards, Bill

That’s a pretty good overview of Pulp. I think much the same as you. The genre can’t be horned into a narrow niche. It covers everything from Cthulhu to Bond to Indiana Jones to Conan the Barbarian to Buck Rogers to The Shadow or Fu Manchu. A good set of rules for Pulp will play all those different stories, one as well as another. I’ll be following along, thanks posting.

Looks like it’ll be an “Ark of the Covenant” piece.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

The Two Hour Warfames rules all play great solo. Most people who play them play solo. The only character you control is your “Star”. You don’t even have complete control of you squad\platoon and you have no control over your enemies.

Platoon Leader came out a little while ago. There are also other sets in the 5150 universe; Battalion Commander, Star Marine, Star Navy, Fighter Command, Carrier Command  and the just released Hammer and Anvil. There are also RPG type supplements like Fringe Space.

I highly recommend these rules to anyone who plays solo.

    regards, Bill

I would recommend Forlorn Hope and the various scenario books written for it.

Beautiful brush work! My painting isn’t worth posting though… My Poles are coming along though. Just one LG box of Cossack w/ spear to go and I can start on my Swedes…

I have only played two small introductory games. I really like the rules, they play well and are, imho, intuitive. I really like the orders and how y9ou need to manage your order points. All in all the rules are fun and I liked them enough to buy the rules and a load of Poles and join the kickstarter at the Lieutenant level all within a week…

I think they will play TYW without any changes (at least I hope, because I’m going to try). It’ll be the army lists that make the difference.

Microworld Miniatures are cast individually. They are great figures as well.
