Tony FrancisParticipant
Hi – looking at the detachment list (http://www.hammers-slammers.com/pdf/Mangala1_15mm_sheet.pdf) the Guards detachment should have three vehicles; a large (8×8) and small (4×4) transporter and a tank destroyer (also 4×4).
The large transporter would have a small gatling turret in one turret mount and a blanking plate over the other. The small transporter also has a gatling turret. The tank destroyer has a larger powergun turret.
Of course this all assumes I put the correct parts in the pack…
Tony FrancisParticipantI’ve had a dig through my (very) old files – I’ve found the original PacFed and Indonesian vehicle stats for the New Guinea campaign along with details of both sides’ colour schemes, unfortunately I didn’t save the rest of the pages.
For the price it’s well worth getting the PDF download of the rules – I haven’t played them for a while but I remember them giving a good game.
Tony FrancisParticipantYou need to get hold of a copy of Miniature Wargames, May 2017 – that has the Warlord’s rules for their Cloudships game which includes boarding actions.
Tony FrancisParticipantFantastic looking miniβs as ever!
Thanks π
Tony FrancisParticipantSoon, I hope – we have some new models for another new force in which he should feature π
Tony FrancisParticipantIf anyone is interested, I’ve written up my painting method for the tracked Lightning Division tanks – as you’ll see, I made it up on the fly due to a shortage of blue-tak…

Tony FrancisParticipantDo Calliope defend from buzzbombs?
Nope – the only defence is active defence systems, like the ERA blocks on the Slammers vehicles or Drozd as fitted to Zaporoskiye tanks amongst others.
Tony FrancisParticipantMore photos and a brief AAR here:
Tony FrancisParticipantIt was certainly a fun encounter – I think there were a dozen detachments on table, with just short of 100 vehicles deployed. Certainly one of the biggest games I’ve played in of any sort.
Thanks to John and his fellow Warlords for coming down to Maidstone to take part and help us put on the game.
Tony FrancisParticipantOk, I’ll go first. This is a really nice resin bridge from Forge World I picked up 10+ years ago (Salute was still at Olympia when I bought it!) but which has taken me until this summer to get assembled and painted. It’s was in the Warhammer range but I’ve used it in Lord of the Rings games – those are Iron Hills dwarves forming a pretty impenetrable barrier across it. I’ll see if I can find a better second photo, I’m sure I have some more.
Tony FrancisParticipantSeems like very fair pricing to me
Tony FrancisParticipantThanks – I’ve also had them recommended by someone else, so they’ll be my first port of call
Tony FrancisParticipantComing to this a bit late, but Wilkinsons do their own generic not-Lego – you fill a plastic pot (like a pic-n-mix) and can get exactly the pieces you want.
Tony FrancisParticipantComing to this for the first time – lovely pieces of work, both of you π
Tony FrancisParticipantLook forward to seeing it !
Tony FrancisParticipantLooking excellent, love the little details in the market
Tony FrancisParticipantHi Thuseld – I’m sorry to hear that you have a problem. If you email me then I’ll happily replace the miscast parts.
Tony FrancisParticipantI think I just cut a paper mask for the door stripes and sprayed it with an airbrush – if you look too closely the edges are a bit fuzzy, but you’d never know from that photo.
