I might allow the Chippewa to fire one full point, but every other turn.

Another blog post showing the bases from Warbases.

I believe the factor of 25 will be the ticket, although that means that the Chippewa won’t have a gun factor.  Guess I could always give it a one!

Very cool…thank you for bringing this “back to life”…interesting that QRF doesn’t offer these any longer, but I am guessing it is because of who sculpted them.

Yep, too late…I totally forgot I had bought a Dutch infantry platoon from PSC a couple of months ago. Just got to buy some YPRs and I am set. Trying to decide if I want to go cheap with Butler’s Printed Models (which has a lot of banding on the printed out kit and a lot of flash to remove) or more costly with PSC or QRF. I won’t do Team Yankee as I don’t need five vehicles nor do I like their pricing model.

Love the topic. I personally would use the RAMF offerings to cover most of the forces (high tech to Droyne to Aslan, etc., etc.). Then I would supplement with DSG (as those Vents look like ideal Zhodani to me!).

By the way, the K’Kree were not a RAFM Citadel product which is what the current RAFM website offers. They were Martian Metals.

    Good stuff, folks!

I like Not Connard’s thought process, and if you are going to have other manufacturers in the piccies, give them credit and a link. When I look at the picture in your link, I would initially think that all would be available in your shop, but having the disclosure helps. 🙂

I’ve not bought them yet, and alas, I’ve not heard from Shawn from AA either. I’m a little hesitant to order anything as I am not even sure the AA website still functions.

UPDATE – Okay, I went ahead and placed my order on the AA site for these two TW pdfs. Paid via PayPal, download was available immediately after payment was completed.

ToT is 18 pages and contains three scenarios.

FoH is 15 pages, also contains three scenarios, along with background information and some vehicle data.

While they are neat additions to the TW system, nothing really grabs me to make them worth $5.00 each. FoH is the better of the two for me as it sticks with hard sci-fi. ToT dabbles into areas I do not care for (think zombie)

Correct. The expansion bits are all quite small, so I didn’t think it worth submitting to lulu or the likes.

What is all the expansion material was offered in one volume…would that be worth going to a print method?

And then he comes to the sudden realization that he kinda hijacked the thread! Sorry folks, didn’t mean to move the topic away from Nordic Weasel!

I am interested in trying different rules for XCOM…what I am gathering from the responses, the Nordic Weasel rules most suited are Clash on the Fringe. I like printed rules as opposed to pdfs, and Clash can be obtained in printed format, but it looks like the expansion material is all pdf…is that correct?

The helmets are of a more modern design, whereas the Israeli and German helmet of the 60s-80s are both different…but good recommendations to start with, none-the-less. I doubt if anyone in 15mm makes a PASGT-type helmet with a G3/FAL, but I thought I would throw it out there just in case there was a figure range I have overlooked.

Maybe you could look at an indie company as being o e where the games company isn’t the primary source if income for the owner? How would that sit?

That is a good definition to offer at the very least. I think of indie as being companies that are more niche or small, like a Darkest Star Games for example.

    Hey Norm,

I had some of their ACW and thought they were pretty good figures…decided to sell them as I have a ton of the old Empire/Heritage ones. And they still offer the buy five get a sixth free, which makes the figures about .21 cents each (USD) which is just a couple of pennies more than the smaller Pendraken figures.
