ParticipantI’m still fond of Warmaster Ancients. My son and I still play the occasional game.

ParticipantI would favour re-naming the ACW board the 19th Century board.
Generally though…..More boards. Lovely.

ParticipantThat is very impressive. As I think someone else has already said, my Airfix RE8 never looked like that when I was a kid!

ParticipantAnything presented by Mary Beard. She is a senior professor at Oxford and really knows her stuff. She also makes it entertaining.
Her documentary about Pompeii was excellent!

ParticipantWow! Now there is a disciplined man!

ParticipantNorthern Monkey – you need a bigger desk, mate! As for your 6mm WOTR project, well the numbers are impressive but did you see the “Rather Large Towton Project”? If not, I recommend you google it. Great inspiration!
My workspace is in my shed. Plenty of space to store the ‘lead pile’ and SWMBO is none the wiser. She doesn’t have a key…..

ParticipantThree battalions of Baccus Napoleonic Bavarian light infantry, a few 28mm Napoleonic French line, some 28mm WW2 Italian infantry, a house, some interestingly shaped sticks, and of course……Vikings!

ParticipantThanks chaps. I’ll edit the list when I get a mo……

ParticipantI don’t mind IGOUGO for a simple fun game. Back in the old days we used to play simultaneous movement. Great in theory, but……
Over the last couple of years I have been converted to the benefits of card-driven games. I never liked the sound of them until I tried it! The opportunity for fog-of-war and the unexpected makes for a more ‘realistic’ game.

ParticipantLovely stuff. That is a very eye-catching uniform!

ParticipantYou can fit the rules onto the back of an envelope?

ParticipantHi kyote! Another familiar name!
It may seem a bit big and echoey at the moment but it seems to be filling up pretty quick!

ParticipantMentioned what……..?

ParticipantHello!
You sound incredibly busy. I would hang my head in shame at my lack of progress lately, but it is warm and sunny at the moment and in Britain you have to make the most of good weather while you can…..

ParticipantAh-ha! I see!
I am using an iPad so didn’t take any notice of the stuff on the bar above this box. It tends to just do things without the user’s input…..

ParticipantSounds like ‘motion carried’!

ParticipantAre these 28mm? And if so how do we get hold of them? I like variety in my Dark Age forces!
Cerdic
ParticipantNo! I am Tango01!

ParticipantNice blog Mick.
I like your terrain. Mounting the buildings on their own ‘diorama’ base is very effective.
On a separate note. Are we including the Dark Ages here or in Ancients? I reckon here might be best….

ParticipantEvening all!
Nice to see some names I recognise here!
Like a lot of you, I discovered wargaming as a kid in the 70s. The local club had a massive Napoleonics game in the local church hall and I’ve never recovered from the experience. These days I amuse myself with historical figures in 6mm and 28mm.
I also have a blog which, like a Top Gear project, is ambitious but rubbish! The idea is to build a database type resource with comparison photos of 28mm figures.
Well done to Angel Mike for coming up with this site. Let’s hope it goes from strength to strength!
