PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipant
Thanks – I have never seen any irregular 28mm figures, good to have a reference.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI’m buying 6mm and 20mm at the moment, its complete madness
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI like TWW as I find the community is friendly, knowledgeable and supportive. Any question I ask is answered and I get a lot of insight into different periods and rules systems by simply reading the other topics. I don’t know a lot about actual conflicts or specifics so its always good to know such resources are here if I need them.
I find the atmosphere almost like a casual lunch among friends, some banter, some knowledge sharing but no drama or silly antics.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantCongrats !
I was going to enter but then end up sick and gave up.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantThey are brilliant
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI still play command decision 2 (shock horror)
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantThanks everyone. Some great tips and lots of things for me to follow up on.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI have a British Peninsular war regiment that has consistently failed for 20 years.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantThanks for the tips !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipant3498
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantA selected commanding officer decides to halt for half an hour to paint a watercolour or have tea and biscuit
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI’m going to try and make it if I can arrange some business visits at the same time
Cheers
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI now have some angel barracks scenery and figures to complete. Once postie arrives in a few days hopefully some qrf terrain items too.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI grow fruit trees, run my own community organisation and play the odd Xbox game
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI use what I have – some of my Napoloenic french are in Prussian blue !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI have a few mainly for smaller nations of the Napoleonic wars or conflicts I don’t know much about.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantHI Jeff, welcome !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI would second the Ion Age Maligs, great characters !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantSorry Rod, I meant internet spectator. I have plenty of people to play in various games but time is my limiting factor (kids, work, animals care etc etc) so I just content myself with pictures of other peoples toys until I get to play
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantOk thanks. I do not get a chance to play that often so just look at other games like a child at a candy shop window !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantAre there any pictures of these campaign games – I know next to nothing about Team Yankee and I am just curious that’s all.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantCool !
Those skeletons remind me of Jason and the Argonauts
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantMy home made efforts look too basic so in the last few days I have ordered scenery from a few different suppliers to see how they go. I’ll take a look at Wargamer’s Terrain too.
Thanks for the post.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantAh I did not mention groups ! I am still on around twenty groups, some are dormant but they are all still a rich source of information and comments from other people.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantWelcome,
I mostly game 15mm sci fi but have very recently made an order for some of Mikes Angel Barracks models. I’m hoping to have a small self contained box that I can get out easily for smaller skirmish games that do not take up loads of space.
Cheers
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantMy facebook feed is already polluted with the shenangins of my family, and a new phase of facebook “suggested posts” so its hard to keep up.
I prefer forums as they are easy to search, and easier to use.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantAlready a follower !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantOK thanks
EDIT – In firefox I do not see the toolbar which was adding to my confusion – IE works fine.
Cheers
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI have one daughter and managed to game maybe once every few weeks during the evening. Work and lots to do now so its gone down to about one multiplayer game every four months, a few solo games and lots of painting.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantExcellent.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI purchase from suppliers that I know give a reasonable turnaround time, are easy to deal with and have well illustrated products. Those removing VAT for non UK buyers is also considered if I just need general troops.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI have been looking at this game myself, for the very same reason so thank you for the blog post !.
Cheers
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI leave them out usually unless they are really needed.
It was always a shame that in 1/72 packs you would end up with at least 5 or 10 guys on the ground.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantGreat news !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantChocolate biscuits MUST always be present during games as well as ample supplies of tea.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantHi,
I plan to play SH (and other rules) using the same method. I recently picked up some Epic figures but was going to be lazy and simply play on tiles printed on A4 paper. I picked up some Onslaught Sisterhood, as well as dark Realm for Imperial Guard types
Cheers
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI am currently painting 28mm WSS figures, 15mm Zombies, 10mm moderns and a really bad attempt at trying a Mantic Elf for Kings of War.
Having not painted any larger figures I painted two as a test run and they really look like crap. So back to the drawing board !
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantYou own the figures you can do what you like with them.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantI found a canvas\cork notice board in the local hardware store that is 4×2 – I might buy it and then dye\spay the canvas dark green (the colours were red of blue) or simply upholster it with an existing felt sheet.
PaintingLittleSoldiersParticipantDid anything happen with this Ivan ?
(I took it you were trying to develop a new ruleset)
