EdzardParticipant
Go reds!
EdzardParticipantI was interested in these rules. Going to read your adventures after dinner, cheers!
EdzardParticipantBeing busy with Dutch for Flames of War, some guys took it over and actually made it a real and accepted for play pdf download. I even painted some Romanians to look like Dutch, but the project petered out with the lack of playing any Flames of War games.
EdzardParticipantYep, that’s the one! I would recommend them, even though I’m not even halfway 😉
EdzardParticipantA nice idea, but maybe a little more structured in what we should discuss? A very open forum can turn into chaos very quickly is my experience..
I would be onboard.
EdzardParticipantEven though I always bought my Flames of War stuff from local retailers or Maelstrom Games (remember them?) the mother company Battlefront always seemed to have a good business ethics, replacing items without quibble and listening to their customers on what to release.
I imagine lead time is increadibly long for a company that ships that many tiny tin soldiers on a daily basis, so releases are quite slow. But compared to their mainstream competitor Games Workshop they do a great job.All the smaller companies I’ve dealt with are also great, but let’s be honest they have to be in order to survive.. Maybe the miniatures business isn’t as cut throat as many others, but gamers are quite picky and very vocal, so I imagine it being a tricky business to be in.
EdzardParticipantCold War FoW, that’s cool!
EdzardParticipantThanks Bandit 🙂 happy to be here!
EdzardParticipantI have been listening to the Napoleon podcasts for a while, episode 22 currently. I listened to another podcast series on the Roman civil war, all pretty good stuff.
EdzardParticipantHi everybody,
My introduction: I’m Edzard from the Netherlands, and I sometimes try to be a general ruling over the destiny of little metal men. I also have a blog: http://moedbeleidentrouw.blogspot.nl/
I generally like my stuff 15mm and smaller, but I have painted 28mm. Starting, like many of us, with Games Workshop then moving into historicals.
Recently I have gotten into 3mm Napoleonics, and gee let me tell you those things are fun!I thought TMP was the authority of historical wargame forums online, but I’m a little fed up with how their software works. It feels ancient. I hope to have something to add to this community.
Anyways, glad to be aboard. 🙂
