    Oooh, they’re outstanding.

    +1 to that. Never got the whole two legs with a snake head thing but they make such great enemies it’s impossible not to love them.

    I see them more like corrupted humans or hybrids, the same way as you get those fish people in the Lovecraft lore.

    If it were my setting, it would be the former. Faith can be a powerful thing, but it corrupts, whether it’s a golden aura or a snake head will depend on the Gods they are devoted to.

    I like the portal mini too, the shading is very well done. I’ve had the urge to try super hero games now and then but I could never figure out how it works with characters being super powerful and the super powers. This reminds why I was interested int eh first place, a chance to do some strange and out of the ordinary minis and paint them however I want.

    Thank you and go for it! I can’t wait to see some superheroes in 6mm (or smaller). There are plenty of excellent systems out there, but so far I like Super Mission Force the best as it has both the option to build your own and enough simplicity to play a quick game without having to check the rules all the time. On top of that it uses d6’s.

    It says it’s 1/64 scale or 25mm, so it will most likely not be a perfect match and be a tad too large, but not in a way that it looks out of place.

    I would just go for it, you could always convert it into a pod racer or something should it not be to your liking.

    I did sell some 6mm Scifi goblins to DSG, but I don’t think they were value for money.

    Those splendid little gobbos recently had an outing against some PDF which they fought to a stand-off. You really should do sculpts for casting, your stuff has a lot of personality.

    Would be great if you could post some pictures 😁.

    Any progress on your sculpting Ali? I love to see what has become of your creations.

    Thanks both of you. More are coming as I still have some characters for the campaign to go. My children also made me promise to procure some Avengers, which may end up replacing the protagonists in the AT campaign.

    @Ian

    Athwart Time is like an extension to the main SMF book and contains both cooperative/solo play and a short campaign.

    @Telzy

    The Benjamin model is an Earth Elemental sidekick from Bombshell miniatures which I slightly changed. Invisible girl is a simple hands swap on a Rebel Black Widow model.

    Athwart Time characters ‘Nasty Gran’ and ‘Coldheart’

    15mm Nasty Gran and ColdheartSupers system hero T-Bolt (which for some reason is described as solar powered)

    5mm T-Bolt

    And some villains of my own creation: Promethea and ‘The Controller’

    15mm Promethea

    15mm Supervillain Controller

    And finally dr. Half Life and Gordon Freeman, which I simply had to put in the same picture.

    So, after the conversation I had with my children, I painted up some well known heroes. However, it quickly turned out Ghost rider and the Fantastic Four were not what they had in mind. Back to the painting table.

    @Wouter They’re more like 4mm-4.5mm tall, especially the ones with great swords. Scale creep.

    Perfect! I can always upscale to 6mm anyway.

    1mm sounds like insanity, but seeing the units it actually makes sense too.

    Are these knights 3mm as well? Wow, you are a putty wizard. Your work truly is an inspiration and enticing me to try a 6mm and 3mm skirmish.

    Care to share the STL files for those armatures? I am thinking about making travel versions (basically a game in round container) for SoBaH and 5 leagues from the Borderlands.

    I agree with everyone. The rules and lore are for you to change as you will. If you don’t like something, just fiddle with it until you find something that clicks.
    IP aside, rules are not law. It’s having fun that counts.
