Cheers – both from Onslaught (via Vanguard Minis). Their ‘not-Tau’ range (Okami Technology something or other?)
jagannathMemberNot at the mo – I’ve got a gang of your Junker tanks on the go, but not ready to show yet… I’ve been distracted by ‘un-abandoning’ some 15mm pulp sci fi ideas I had. Plus the million other distractions on my desk at the mo.
jagannathMemberLove all this – I think the more ‘pulpy’ sci fi out there the better really… I really like your buildings and I’d definitely buy a few packs of some minis like your tentacle blokes if they were cast up.
jagannathMemberCan’t believe I’ve missed this whole thread – I’ve been working on almost this exact project in the background (VERY slowly) for ages! I tried sculpting some alien/arid huts that would work for both sci-fin and fantasy (and a long term pet project I want to do which is basically ‘alien fantasy’)
I won’t actual post the image as it’s your thread but they’re here:

You’ve smashed it. I’ll be buying the whole bunch of those buildings soon as they’re ready – much prefer solid resin for 15mm. I ballsed mine up – I had a good show then I tried adding an extra layer of miliput to texture – I’ll knick the liquid greenstuff idea next time!
Have you seen all the new Forged in Battle 15s? Some great stuff in there that could fit in a more desert based fantasy world.
Very cool.
jagannathMemberThanks All – hmmm… perhaps I should make a small order of OO 3mm. How big is a 3mm tank – about 10mm?
jagannathMemberSorry – thanks AB… that Heavy gear vehicle is probably a fairly good shout. And thanks for the comparison post… I already have that bookmarked!
jagannathMemberThanks for that Mr.Average – those 2 DZC units are the very ones I have. The buggies are great but they’re really small – not far off scale for 6mm anyway so not quite the monsters I hoped for.
Good shout on the GZG vehicles – I bet I could put a 6mm cab on the front as a driving/viewing platform. I like the idea that these massive vehicles have ‘bridges’ as opposed to simply a driving space.
Stiil, anymore for anymore?
jagannathMemberFor a glowing look you can also try going the other way to me average’a (excellent) idea –
Basecoat in a pale colour (seems to work best in mint/teal).
Wash with a pale white.
‘Highlight’ with an ever so slightly darker teal. It’s sort of the recipe I use for flames and gives a good glow effect. Never tried it on 6mm mind.
jagannathMemberHaha yes, thanks Victoria – 9nce seen, never unseen!
jagannathMemberCheers – can’t wait! Might take me a little while, I want to do justice to an SF3D style project (’cause it’s my favourite!) so I’ll rush them a bit less than these!
jagannathMemberThanks yeah – I have considered the DP9 stuff.
I found this pic earlier after asking the question:
Which answered my question nicely! A little bit of detailing work and those should work OK I reckon. They’re certainly cramped, but that’s what I wanted. Alternatively I’ve also been looking at Grymn walkers from Hasslefree. I think the Grymn are basically 15mm if memory serves, so they’re walker should fit.
jagannathMemberWhy yes I do occasionally… Trying to cut down though as it bites into hobby time!
Might just order some of these – they’ll obviously work in 6mm if plan a fails.
jagannathMemberThose HF Bohkin are over at Macrocosm now:
jagannathMemberExactly what I needed – appreciate it. Not sure I need the extra poses anyway, there’s plenty in the onslaught packs.
Cheers
jagannathMemberCan’t wait – I need at least 30
jagannathMemberThose look fantastic – great to see more 6mm power armour options. Can’t wait!
