THAT is a little beauty, THAT says love like flowers and chocolates never will!
Ugh, I’m starting to tear up.

mark leslieParticipantThe first rule of Varnish Protocol is you don’t talk about Varnish Protocol.
I don’t usually but when painting mounted figures (15mm and up) as one piece I have been known to paint the horse and varnish it then paint the rider.
We all have our foibles, some are more foibly than others.

Probably bigger than 25mm but Warhammer Cursed City has a hanging Skeleton available on eBay.

Dig too deeply below the surface and all sorts of perversions and taints may be laid bare.

mark leslieParticipantDoesn’t quite fit the brief specifically but Satyr Art Studio has a “Witch” which just oozes Oldhammer along with much else on their site.

mark leslieParticipantI’ve been wanting to get some of the old Asgard Orcs to paint, you know, for fun. I just might do it.

mark leslieParticipantOne wonders if, in a fantasy setting like the Old World, would not more elaborate measures be taken to keep the contents in than just an iron fence (unless magic is involved obviously)?

…for entertainment purposes that is.

Now’s the time for you to do your bit and stimulate the local economy by purchasing a new lamp. Capitalism, your welcome!

mark leslieParticipantTurning lead into gold?
Having perused old minis on ebay from time to time I do wonder if the price asked is ever the price gotten. I’m certainly skeptical I would get that sort of money for my bits and bobs.
How long can it be before you can scan that image and then 3D print it to whatever size you desire?

It just ain’t right!

mark leslieParticipantThere’s the rub, hulking barbarian in anything other than furs.
Off the top of my head Fenris Games/Dark Fable-Egypt. Not hulking, not Zamoran but dressed for civilised lands and has a bit of a Conan vibe.
His companions are also interesting.

mark leslieParticipantmark leslieParticipantIn such circumstances I always recommend taking up a hobby. You can never be too old or too young to start, keeps the mind active and, perhaps most importantly, keeps one off the streets and out of trouble.

mark leslieParticipantFinally glued the butressesessess onto my home made walls. Still need to tidy them up and then add pizazz, then make some towers, and then…
Hmm, I sense… MISSION CREEP!
I look forward to seeing the magnificent city that will rise up behind those walls.

mark leslieParticipantDon’t know who this guy is but he seems very hopeful watching his small selection of trailers.
War in Middle Earth seems much less complicated with other manufactures and other scales.

mark leslieParticipantLove the resulting ‘little’ diorama. Sure needs a proud name – how about Sigmars Hammer?
Sounds fit for official records, but I’m sure the crew (and the ladies) may have a more colourful moniker for it.

mark leslieParticipantDBN in 6mm is something I come back to on a regular basis but never make much progress on, one of the issues being presentation of the various troop types in a pleasing enough way to encourage me further. You look to be very much on the right track and I will follow your progress with interest as you clear a path for others to follow.
I chose “A” by the way, just to keep it clean and simple on the table top.

Zombie horses no doubt. May have to try something like that myself with old miniatures.

mark leslieParticipantAlternative Armies do a variety of 25/28 mm Fantasy stuff some of which could be used.
Bought some samples from the AA Fantasy Warlord range some time ago. The Orcs (definitely 28’s) and Goblins are really lovely sculpts. Very reminiscent of Oldhammer and look to have stepped straight out of a piece of Gary Chalk art.

mark leslieParticipantI would think your baggage is incomplete until the vital addition of a Paymaster. What Old World army could operate without one? Also adds a nice bit of Oldhammer flavour.
I’m sure Dietrich could be available, given the right motivation.

Well, now that you’ve printed it you just have to make the Picts pay for it.
