Happy Christmas everyone
miniaturemenParticipant<p style=”text-align: left;”>Been using Biostrip for a few years now, best thing I have found for stripping metal minis and it does have a pleasant smell. Worth the price, especially if you buy a big container direct from the manufacturer.

miniaturemenParticipantThanks for all your messages.
The figures in question are Strelets Housecarls but I’ve also got some Zvezda Vikings and Red Box half orcs.
I’m going to try the pva then car spray primer on a few to see I that works.
It seems a lot of effort compared to any other minis I have previously painted but those Red Box Uruks look so good I’m going to persevere with it.
Now I’ve just got to source some 1/72 scale hobbits……….
miniaturemenParticipantThat looks cool mate
miniaturemenParticipantThanks all for your suggestions, give me something to think about while I prepare and paint my first unit of Rohan Warriors ( Strelets Housecarls of King Harold).
miniaturemenParticipantI have just measured some Caesar 1/72 and they are about 23mm to the eye and 25mm to top of head. Would probably onlt fit 3 to 4 figs on a Warmaster base so maybe I will use some bigger bases, 60mm x 30mm seems a nice size and probably get 6 to 8 figs on them.
I always liked the Warmaster rules and the army lists would cover most of the troop types with a little tinkering. There are the Battle of Five Armies rules which IIRC were based on Warmaster so maybe I could use some of the stats from there ( wish I would have kept my copy of the game but sold it many years ago).
This is a project that may never see a game played with them but its nice to have something to aim at. I would really like to have a go at refighting Helms Deep but not sure if my terrain making skills are up to the task.
miniaturemenParticipantAmazing brushwork again Robert, nice bright colours.
Keep up the good work
Gary
miniaturemenParticipantGood luck finding those Mike, you may have to remortgage your house.
Might be cheaper to hire a sculptor and commission your own.
Great names though, the happy days when GW had a sense of humour.
miniaturemenParticipantGreat work ( only just realised you painted these). I would be very proud of I had done those.
I really like the caricature sculpts and would really like some WW2 Western Desert Brits and Italians.
Keep posting more pics
Gary
miniaturemenParticipantVery nice and cute, Napoleon looks very unhappy.
miniaturemenParticipantWe sell lots of vintage rulebooks on Ebay.
Would recommend you check out the completed lisings of each item to get an idea of what they have been selling for and offer the option of sending outside the UK if you can.
Good luck
miniaturemenParticipantI like Martyn.
All they all GW minis?
miniaturemenParticipantSome nice looking minis there Mike. Would like to see them painted up and based.
Never played Mordheim as a miniatures game but really enjoyed it on the PlayStation.
miniaturemenParticipantThey look really good, love the way you have posed and photographed them. Almost tempted to get some myself after watching Platoon the other night.
miniaturemenParticipantThat looks brilliant, bet it’s even better in VR.
Thanks for posting, keep em coming

miniaturemenParticipantThanks for the advice, looks like it may have to resort to the darkside/Ebooks.
miniaturemenParticipantHi Ken
Great work but wondering are the measurements in cm or inches?
Would there be room in the hull for some wheels and a motor so you can remotely move them?
Next time you take some photos could you put something in the image to show the scale, maybe a hand or your smiling face?
Thanks
Gary
miniaturemenParticipant<p style=”text-align: left;”>Great models and painting, nice to see some proper Warhammer. Long live the Empire!

I use Vallejo matt and gloss varnish and have been happy with the results so far but have not tried many other brands.miniaturemenParticipantI’ll second the Gotrek books, also anything by Dan Abnett.
I like the Old World, not really a fan of AOS.
miniaturemenParticipantVery nice, the vegetables look very realistic.
miniaturemenParticipantGreat work there, I would be proud to have done that Ken.
miniaturemenParticipantThat was hilarious, thankyou for starting my Sunday with a laugh
22/05/2022 at 11:08 in reply to: How to completely remove acrylic paint from a metal miniature? #173459miniaturemenParticipantBiostrip.
Place minis in an empty coffee jar, pour in biostrip to cover, leave for 24 hours then scrub with a nail brush.
Available in various quantities and can buy direct ( think the company is Fuze) or from Amazon.
miniaturemenParticipantCan highly recommend the Spellsinger series by Alan Dean Foster.
miniaturemenParticipantEnjoyed that thanks for posting.
miniaturemenParticipant£40 for one plane, wow. How much for the game?
miniaturemenParticipantGet it, you know your worth it and we all need a little treat.
If I had the gear I would be your wingman.
miniaturemenParticipantGreat photo.
Had the same issue a few years ago and lost Photoshop CS2.
Was recommended a free program called GIMP which I have been isong ever since. Similar to Photoshop and free.
Gary
miniaturemenParticipantI’m always watching
miniaturemenParticipantNice landing. Loved the way you opened the canopy to hear the guns.
More please
miniaturemenParticipantThats looks like fun.
