I would have liked less “wikipedia” history of the AWI and more how Black Powder plays into the time period.
There is a bit and explanation as you get into the scenario section, but you have to read it thoroughly to catch everything.
I would have liked more of a breakdown of forces similar to how the author of Last Argument of Kings (LAoKs) did in the SYW expansion of BP. That format was more useful to gamers making their own scenarios or converting historical battles not listed in the scenario section.
Good Things – great photos, and a nice spreadsheet by faction of the regiments involved, which battles they fought in and distinctive colors of their uniforms (colors, cuffs, etc.) this is stuff you could find elsewhere, but would have to look in several sources.
Skirmish – Muskets and Tomahawks
SYW – Die Kriegskunst and Black Powder’s LAoKs – both rulesets have the same basing!
DKK is good for smaller fights, LAoK is good for big multi-player
