It is actually a bottle that came on a sprue, but I chopped off the top to put it into the figure’s clutched hand so that it now seems to have a very long neck!

    Yeah.

Re: the shot … I knew which shot you meant before I saw it. That was the least ‘extra’ picture I added, in a rush, as I was putting the pics in order for the video. As soon as I saw it, I thought it looked good and as glad I had bothered to add it. These things always happen by accident.

All as posed. I didn’t Paint3D any eyes or such, not even brushing out hairs and dust and rogue bits of flock. I liked theml pictures ‘as is’ so much that I stuck with just a few.

Back to the ‘current day’ of the campaign, and a story that will be a video in a couple of years time!!!!! I tell you, building a cloister, even a ‘film set’ stye one, takes longer than I thought. I expected the end result to look great, but turns out, not that much. At least there’s some depth to the structure. I made it so big I couldn’t really get it all in a picture at once!

The skaven issue threats, of the sort that people have every reason to fear!

As mentioned somewhat bizarrely in the figures’ listing section at the end the wall hangings are golden silk cloth. I made a very fancy waistcoat from that same cloth many years ago in a 1680s style. It is so delicate it started to wear and tear within just a couple of days of use!

We use them in our 8th ed WFB campaign, because the campaign rules require them. The players rarely give them much consideration, however, when on the field of battle, as (usually) by the time the trayne is threatened, then that sides’ defeat is already likely!

    Example …

Not sure. I was GMing. Maybe the player trusted the power of Granite Breaker and thought (a) assaulting the walls would hurt more of the enemy in the blasting and/or (b) that the collapsed walls would be easier to assault? Long time ago, and although I kept copious notes (even keeping the pencil notes long after the report had been written up, all filed chronologically in case as GM I need to consult them later) I doubt the notes would go into the reasoning for that decision even if it was mentioned by the player!

(Edit) Or maybe the player was running the NPC force and therefore didn’t care what damage was done? In which case, my bad … as I should have given instructions not to unnecessarily damage the walls. Still … dwarfs know their rocks and probably just thought the repairs they did would only improve the walls!

Tilea’s Troubles, Part 73, being a battle report, is up. Dwarfs and Bretonnians assault an Ogre held city. There are models from the 1980s onwards in the assaulting army, and scenery from the 70s in the city!

Is it worth it??!! I should say so. Eternal rest granted to the holy martyr in Morr’s heavenly garden. Yes sirree that’s a reward worth one’s mortal life.

(Turns sensible mode on) In terms of a tournament army, or an army for battling in one off games, it is very definitely not worth it. They cost a fortune in points too.

But … this is a campaign world army. And the fate of Tilea hangs in the balance! I know some of my players (like Damo, aka Lord Alessio of Portomaggiore) really hone their army’s and get the max out of their points. But, many players’ armies, and certainly the umpteen NPC armies I put together, are all about theme, background, and a peppering of the rule of (Tilean) cool. If an almost entirely flagellant army was worth it I reckon the Disciplinati di Morr would not be anywhere as nearly unique as it is.

BTW, I was telling people yesterday about

    Also, SUCK IT undead losers!!

    Hee hee!
