Where would the war-games company list be placed?
We could always rely on maturity, self control and above all, good manners. After all, gentlemen are able to admit when they are mistaken or politely allow an opposing view point to be aired without negative comment. A self assured person is able to entertain the idea that all need not agree with him or her and carry on a fruitful and satisfactory conversation. Thus I see no need for arbitrary or artificial constraints on the exchange of ideas on any fora.
I am lucky in living in an area with quite a large gaming population. So there are a lot of like minded individuals who share our particular geek iness. I have never been bothered by what others think of my pursuits. If they don’t like toy soldiers they don’t have to play with them.31/08/2014 at 05:19 in reply to: What figures / kit / model would you buy if you had a time machine. #6549
I still have a number of the old 40mm Elastolins along with a castle that breaks down and fits into its base. Good gravy those things are 50 plus years old. I think I’ll go have a lie down now.28/08/2014 at 23:39 in reply to: What figures / kit / model would you buy if you had a time machine. #6224
I would go to 1962 and buy up all the Elastolin figures I could find. They were 1DM a figure then.
I do not like too many boards. I probably would be happy with a Games board and a Tables board. Anything else is just details.
I can get you out, what’s in it for me? Is that Froggy Cumberbund’s Buick?
Howdy kyote, nice to see you here.
An amazing amount of work. I have made use of your Blog several times when researching projects. Thank you very much.06/08/2014 at 03:10 in reply to: Which bit of the 18th century attracts you most, and why? #3497
I got interested in the period because the forces seemed so similar to each other that the deciding factors were the maneuvers of the generals. The strategic problems were what grabbed me. But somewhere along the line: I bumped into the miniature world so now the little troops in their lines with their banners amuse me.
