Neil ScottParticipantThink I’ve now covered most of the armies for the Great Northern War in 15mm. I’ve used a mix of Dixon, Warrior, Blue Moon (cavalry only as the infantry are to large), Roundway, Legio Herioca and Essex.

Neil ScottParticipantDixon do their own range of specific Swedish troops. I also use Roundway, though slightly chunked perfectly fine in their own units

Neil ScottParticipantWell I finally got around to fighting this battle. Seems I have been collecting the Saxons for most of my wargaming life. For this re- fight we didn’t use the Poles as we were busy testing out rule adaptions and there were only the 2 of us.
Part 1 of the report is here Part 1
and part 2 here Part 2

Neil ScottParticipant@DH Please stop this behavior immediately! You may be helping Richard, but I can fan feel my will weakening. It wouldn’t take long to paint a few battalions of Americans in 15mm would it?……. Blue Moon look good……. I’ve got the British/Canadians already with my Peninsula set up…… I could put my other 97 projects on hold for a while…………I know I want to…….must resist……….
You know you will crack shortly
Double six! I need a double six
Neil ScottParticipantI agree the shortened command radius becomes very critical when placing your commanders.

Neil ScottParticipantI currently game the 1870 period in 15mm, using an adaption of fire and fury from the Wyre Forest wargames club. It provides a good game and the rules are easy to pick as most of my club are very familiar with F&F. Currently got the French, Wurtembergers and some Bavarians
