I like to play check the recommended retail price on Amazon…. often it is over inflated and not true so discounts are fake. Take a look at something like Primaries Intercessors..rrp £39.99 and GW £35….now the actual Amazon price is cheeper at £28 but clearly not honest or accurate information there!
That is sad news as I loved his infantry. I suppose no one is picking up his sculpts or anything?
And how I wished up more than 2 copies of the first issue over here. Still dallying with picking up maybe two sets of spirit hosts…
Where are the sword armed ghosts from? I am just awaiting some boxes before I get into my Mortal Realms minis but wanted to bulk out with some more armed ghosts and they fit really well
I would recommend Dark Realm if they still exist. There infantry were excellent, I have a good size guard infantry regiment with the their figures. Hope they still are going, but the website has been in a build phase for years sadly
“Ouch! 20% + increase in postage. Are they trying to drive customers away?”
This is political…. and around how international postag works as I understand it. International rates are worked out internationally, so that developing countries have a bit of a leg up, so shipping from UK to US should be more expensive than shipping from Thailand to US. However there are some in the US who see that as a bad thing due to the rise of (not Amazon) Alibaba…and want to target that with what they can control. This is the wider impact of national protectionism on a world stage with no care for the little players.
It will not impact on shipping from US hubs I guess so people like GW will not be impacted as they have local shipping only after the bat, but small companies will be stung. I would expect retaliation from Chine Post in time…
Sorry for the politics there…was an interesting thing on BBC Radio 4 about international shipping about 12 months ago and the US view (read politicians not people) about the unfairness of the current treties.
Painted up a little village from the Brigade Models buildings I had. Kept it simple in colours but really liked the little models. And I think it goes fine with the Stalkers
Troubled with the images today…
Few pics…I get started on a board…simple sand and glue with unwanted mixed colour from B and Q, ink was and then some cheap flock.
Also a few of the 2mm buildings – these really need to have a base to just raise them up like the Titans.
Mr Average, I have just uncovered my 2mm buildings from Brigade Models…someone on face book suggested that they were to small for looking right but as I have no plans for infantry ( or rather am fighting my want to buy some) it should just upscale the titians. Will try and post up some pics tomorrow to see how it goes
Thanks, I am sure I have a beatle back somewhere and am planning of selling one of the midpoint metal ones they did with the more square carapace when I can dig it out and eBay it…never like anything other than the original plastic warlords. However I am in no rush on this, my mound of unpainted is growing anyway with Nighthaunt and Storm casts and I still have a lot of Super Dungeon Explore chibi that need some loving.
Those look good… Any chance of a frontal shot? I think I will probably wait on Warlords to keep a consistent asthetic and my Tau are the bit of 40k I am not planning to dump on eBay but it is tempting
Well some pictures of the full set so far…2 side each of 1 Reaver, 2 Warhounds and 3 knights. I have plans to expand with some close combat knights but need to get on with scenery. Normally I love to use Hirst Arts casts but they will not work on this scsle so will go with a desert theme, rocky outcrops and then some buildings when I can justify spending more…..
Quick one…are you aware if Dark Realm are ever coming back online? Loved there infantry and alien beasts, the latter are in short supply at 6mm.
