ParticipantOh yes, definately, for anyone in similar circumstances coming across this thread at a later date… get the legal advice. I have.
Business was wound up years back when he changed job, but the moulds and some stock remained as a retirement plan.

ParticipantAll good points… I’ll find where the council have moved the venue page to this week and update it later, and tweak the other links.
Kirton Games events are here….
40k and xwing at the show.
Venue has a full cafe, we’re normally just asked about when it opens for coffee and bacon but it does hit and cold drinks, snacks up to cooked breakfast and lunches.

ParticipantI don’t have the battery life to browse for pictures but if you’re in a browsing mood, then the uk has magister militum, Peter pig, alternative armies, ral partha uk, fighting 15s… bags of choice. Splintered light, eureka and khurasan are solid overseas choices.

ParticipantCrack on then. Anyone would think you were busy with a website, a show, a business and a family (in ascending order!)
I was going to use what I already have of yours for the off world troops and the non-fremen natives so would be nice if it all fitted together. 😉

ParticipantClockwork Goblin make some nice WW2 styled PA for their post-ww2 range – it’s a good size and obviously bigger and bulkier, I got some at Legionary for use with Nordic Weasel games where the PA is so much bigger and better.

ParticipantMuch much less free wheeling…. But I would still like to work out how to model the aztec method of fighting for captives onto a dbx/hordes basic system. One day I might even sit down and think about it.

ParticipantI play a lot of HotT and have a lot of armies – I’m thinking of expanding some of them out to play 72AP mass battles using HotT or something else. Can’t get down to Plymouth sadly as the weekends tend to fill up with DIY and small children, always a great combination. What rules do you use in Plymouth?
Thanks for the suggestions – they were the only ones I could think of but I’m open to other ideas!

ParticipantIf you only want to be agreed with, the internet is possibly not for you. Unless you have some way of removing all voices of dissent from your view and pretending everyone agrees. But that doesn’t just border mental illness, it shares a party wall and a driveway.

ParticipantNo, I think you (we) have genres as well. Jugula is a different genre to Warmaster Ancients. Saga is a different genre to DBMM. I’ll grant you people sometimes play multiple genres per period but I don’t think you can limit choice in the historical market solely to period.

ParticipantAs a mild obsessive who likes to keep his hand in footling around in Excel, I keep track of what games my (Exmouth) club plays. There’s no small ammount of influence from what PAW are playing as some members attend both, maybe William can spot that! So far in 2014 we’ve played this –
Dystopian Wars 24
Fringe 20
Bolt Action 18
Pathfinder 15
Mission Command(o) WW2 5
Black Powder/Hail Caesar 5
Saga 5
Wings of War 4
Pulp Alley 3
Hordes of the Things 3
Panzer Grenadier 3
AWI 3
Rapid Fire 3
Battlefleet Gothic 2
LOTR 2
V&B 2
Rise of the Runelords 2
Command and Colours 2
In Her Majesty’s Name 1
Star Wars RPG 1
X Wing 1
FIW 1
Wild West 1
Boxer Rebellion 1
Martian Empires 1“Fringe” is the local name for games that don’t get played year in year out. With the exception of DW and Pathfinder we’re mostly a historical club, although our staunchest Historical players run Pathfinder, and our most dedicated scifi players now play Bolt Action and Rapid Fire. The list of obviously quibbled with on a regular basis as I don’t always pay much attention to neighbouring tables….

ParticipantWell… from left to right… a 15mm wild west building from QRF; Balin and I think Ori; female ganger with SMGs; two O gauge train drivers for my dad, a Celtos dwarf I need as PC for PAthfinder on Saturday; three Gripping beast plastic shields, some 10mm warmaster Kislev axemen; at the back some more warhammer slayers – not that I’ve played warhammer in 4 years but I like slayers – and some generic ancient light infantry destined for kitbashing and the Jugula arena. Behind the railway crew who’s fallen over there’s some Angel Barracks 6mm being prepped, and the bag of shiney new stuff in front is 15mm Quar.
I may have focus issues.
