With eight figures to a unit I should really have it all done by now, if I stuck to one thing lol
I finally completed one of each unit for the Bomenburst army.
I seem to have 5 or 6 projects on the go simultaneously, but they each keep inching towards the finish line somehow. I envy those who can stick to one thing at a time.
The camo looks good to me.
I like how you vary the skin tones, it adds to their appearance as well as being more realistic.
Looks great btw.
(For complete realism; leave them in their boxes for 2 years, play with them only once and abandon the game halfway through, then put them back in their boxes for good.)
I tend to impulse buy, and the main decider on who I buy from is how easy it is to complete the purchase before I have time to think ‘do I really need this’ or ‘can I really afford this’. So if you have pretty pictures of your figures, a shopping cart and the option for me to check out with paypal I’ll probably end up buying.
If you just have a text listing of what’s available, require me to register with you before I can checkout and want me to go and dig my card out of my purse and type in the number and expiry date then I’ll probably have had second thoughts long before then.
And as for those companies who make me write down what I want as I go through their lists and then type it all into an email or phone them up and read it all out to them, way too much time for me to think better of it.
I see zombies as the perfect opponent for solo wargaming, if the rules controlling their actions makes them do dumb stuff it adds to the realism. And you get to do multiplayer with you all on the same side, which I like too. Plus my grandson and I play plants vs zombies together, so making zombies was a must.
I hope you both made appropriate sound effects for blasters and light sabres when rolling the dice.
Just read the final ‘Vietnam’ AAR, I have to admit once LT Rodriques took out the MG I was speed reading under each picture praying for a win with no losses.
There’s something about these reports that make them feel like you’re watching it happen in real time. Oh well, back to the liberation of Cuba to keep me going till more breaking news gets reported.
I’m reading through your back catalogue while I wait, this is like finding internet gold.
Anything 6mm and anything bigger than 15mm.
Brilliant report, can’t wait to read the next one.
And yeah, get new dice.
The apes are great, love what you did with the camo pattern
For me the sign of a great AAR is that I want to order the rules after reading it. Which I now want to, just have to wait till my bank balance is a bit healthier.
Love the terrain board, btw. I want one of those too.
Those are wonderful figures Pijlie, I need to up my game. Thanks so much for that link.
What I want from a rule set, hmmm…
I want to be able to play using only the QRS after the first couple of games.
I don’t want any mechanisms that make solo play impossible.
It should be playable in a small area, 2’x2′ preferably, but up to 4’x3′ is fine.
It should include designer notes, I love designer notes.
Yep, turned out perfect.
Thanks for your help.
I completed my test casualty marker, I always liked the look of these when I’ve seen them but never had any myself before.
Don’t worry, he isn’t hurt, he’s just playing dead.
Great way to do the tartan, I’ll have to ‘borrow’ that technique. 🙂
Thanks William, that’s just what I was looking for.
And I can add the future to my list of periods I want to do lol
Wish List: 15mm Aztecs and Incas, a few more Conquistadors
To Do List: Finish at least one period for my Cuties, learn how to stick to one thing instead of jumping from project to project
Using in the loosest sense, as I haven’t played a game for months.
L’Art de la Guerre
Irregular Wars: Conflict at the Worlds End
Neil Thomas’s 19th Century Rules
And I love messing about with my own rule ideas, so a lot of home written stuff for other periods.
I’ve now painted at least one of each unit type in the GrosseKleinStadt army 🙂
More pics on the blog.

Be tempting to do some 6mm cuties to fight them.
Probably a silly question, but I was wondering why you have some bases with three figures and others with two? Is it as simple as the figures come in multiples of five? I know Black Hat sells them like that. They look great both ways, I’m just curious.
