Lithuanian Tarter troopers of the French Imperial Guard are to the first of our releases for this resplendent regiment who formed part of the rearguard of the Grand Army in the retreat from Russia by French and allied forces in the bitter cold of 1812.........first up the troopers in their colourful and varied uniforms!

Tartares lithuaniens de la Garde Impériale is more properly rendered as Lithuanian Tatars of the Imperial Guard. Apologies for the pedantry, but my sister-in-law is Tatar. 😉
