The Ion Age has now added ten, yes, ten new Taranis variant main battle tanks to our 15mm range joining the tracked tanks from last month. Five of these are Wheeled and five are Lifter (Hover) propulsion type. All were designed by industry legend Bob Naismith. These tanks are large, resin and in some cases white metal kits in 15mm scale suitable not only for space opera settings but also near future or many other wargaming genres. There are two blog posts, one for each propulsion type so please click through to the website from here and then choose your tank and follow the blog post from there. You get a free miniature in every order plus Reward Points and these are now worth even more! Thanks for Reading. GBS

The Prydian vehicles for Ion Age are some of the coolest 15-18mm sci-fi vehicles on the market. I’m starting to wonder, though: Any plans for more Shia Khan vehicles in the foreseeable future? I don’t play Ion Age yet (even if I’ve bought some of the figures) or own the rulebook but one of the things that keep me from taking the plunge is the disparity between the Prydians and the Shia Khan in regard to vehicle choices. The Infernus tank is kind of cool, but it also feels like an “oddball” vehicle choice, and I have the impression that there’s “supposed” to be some more workhorse-type tanks and IFVs for the faction as well.
Or maybe the Shia Khan use captured Prydian vehicles?

Hello Rhoderic. Thanks for your nice comments.
The Shia Khan will be expanded next year. We cannot do everything at once. There is one more stage to go on Taranis and then we will change focus. The Infernus is an odd ball vehicle but its so cool! Khanate forces will get their own vehicles that suit their alien menace. I doubt they would lower themselves to use Human gear.
If you subscribe to the Ion Age mailing list (link top right of the home blog page) you will be kept up to speed.
