Back in the day I had intended to pay people to write interesting gaming related articles for the sponsoring members to have access to.
Alas this did not really pan out.
Having said that, every now and then some kind soul writes an article for free as way of thanking those that pay to keep TWW running. (and food on my table!)
So Rhysius Cambrensis of Gun Dog Miniature Painting Services wrote "Wargaming the War of the Pacific 1879 - 1884"

Much appreciation to him for taking the time to write this.

Indeed! I’ll second Mike’s appreciation. I’ve always been interested in the more obscure wars, and I think this qualifies. And with the recent publication of the rules “It’s Getting a Bit Chile”, my interest has been rekindled.
Thanks Rhysius

I have purchased these rules – they are well worth it, with great information and ideas in them. The separate naval campaign book to the Dahlgren & Colombiad ironclad rules also recommends these rules for fighting land battles, as part of a larger naval campaign that can be combined with land campaigns. I’ll be writing more articles on this subject and releasing them here. Thanks for your kind words.
