There's more to come for the French, but before that we'll have some exciting news about our Great War ranges, so stay watching the News site over the next few days.
Finally and somewhat inevitably given the time of year, we have shows coming thick and fast, notably Fiasco at Leeds and Crisis at Antwerp.
If any of you have any orders for collection at these events, can you please get them into us as soon as you can so that we can cast them in good time.
October sees the release of a new 6mm Napoleonic model from Leven Miniatures in the form of Mont St Jean farm, Belgium - the first of three new models due out to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of Waterloo.
Mont St Jean farm is situated on the main road from the Waterloo battlefield to Brussels, and on 18 June 1815 was used by Wellington as a hospital to treat the wounded on that day. The only French soldiers who got near it were either prisoners or possibly some cuirassiers of Milhaud IV Cavalry Corps that may have entered the farm enclosure during one of the French cavalry charges that day.
This rendered stone representation of Mont St Jean is hand cast in a paint-friendly ivory coloured polyester resin and consists of seven main pieces, one of which has an interchangeable roofing option, and a built footprint of roughly 175 x 125mm.
Other 6mm Napoleonic models due to be released in the near future include Papelotte and Hougoumont.
The Badlands is the area outside the Liao River Valley.
Not much is known about it, the only known settlement is that of Stonehaven. Stonehaven was founded by Fingal Bissler and he is the unofficial mayor of the town.
The rest you have heard about the Badlands is probably just rumour and stories…
Below we can see more 2 of the ‘hybrid’ buildings of Stonehaven.
These are more permanent structures made initially from stone and then extended with scrap metal.
Here is a typical simple dwelling, a stone construction with a metal roof and a metal ‘soper’ generator on the rear.
Here is what started out as a simple dwelling, then an extension was added using left over scrap from Scooter when he upgraded Zippy Couriers.
