New Cactus Creatures from Pontoonier Miniatures!

In the Monstrous Old West, folks expect dangers from Outlaws, Banditos and Renegade Sioux. Heck, they have even come to understand and protect themselves against vampires, ghouls, zombies and a host of other unpleasant creatures who call the towns of the Old West their home. However, no one expects to be attacked by a cactus while out for a leisurely ride...well, they should!

Pontoonier Miniatures continues to expand the largest range of Old West Monsters, monster hunters and monstrosities on the market with this offering of 28mm metal living cactus monsters. These creatures come in three sizes from the large solitary bear-sized "Stabbers" to the milling man-sized "Stickers" to the diminutive "Prickers" that attack in frenzied, piranha-like mobs.

These are just the first of many releases of animated creatures Pontoonier plans to make your Old West games just a little weirder. Watch this space...

Badger Games is Headed to Little Wars!

We are all packed up and ready to go to the best Old School gaming convention in the Midwest. Little Wars is a classic gaming convention at a fantastic venue with some of the best put together games you will see at any Convention.

We are sponsoring two fantastic participation games utilizing miniatures from Pontoonier's Weird West and North Woods ranges. These are "Reintarnation" Friday at 7:00 PM...a game that takes Old West Gothic Horror to a new level and "Mr. Barnum's Monster Hunt" where players vie to catch and sell the greatest oddities...from Big Foot to Hodags to zombies to Loup Garous to Mr. Barnum for display in his traveling circus. Both games will be Beer and Pretzels on steroids and as they are sponsored by Badger Games, there will be prizes for some lucky players from us!

We will have the great diversity of product you have come to expect from Badger Games. We will have our own Pontoonier, Mongrel, Obelisk and Regiment lines. We will also have Company D, Gripping Beast/SAGA, Foundry and the excellent Foundry Paints, Great Escape Games, The Assault Group, MoFo Miniatures, and many more.

More Bear’s Den Inuit/Eskimos

Bear's Den Releases More 28mm Inuit/Eskimos

Great News from Bear's Den. They have re-released the Inuit dog sleds and dancers and totem. These have been completely remastered and remolded for crisp, clean new castings. Additionally, Bear's Den has released brand new packs of civilians (4 new figures) and casualties.

This tremendous range provides fantastic figures for a host of different game genres (Inter-Inuit warfare, American/Russian/Canadian colonial campaigns, Victorian Pulp and even Fantasy to name a few. And, Bear's Den is not done there. Later in 2018, they will be releasing more Inuit, different loads for the sleds (dead seal, different packages, etc.) and a range of monsters from Inuit lore.

More Drantakh at Badger Games!

Badger Games is pleased to announce the release of the new 28mm Drantakh Kopekh Class Hover Tank. In addition, Regiment Games produces a number of tank drivers, gunners and officers, all of which will work with the vehicle.

This is the first of what will be several Drantakh vehicles and vehicle conversion kits.

Howard Whitehouse Attending Little Wars 2018 (April 26-29)

Little Wars is a great, classic wargaming convention. Old school gamers, fantastic games and a truly fun weekend. How do you add to that? Bring award-winning game designer Howard Whitehouse, that's how!

An industry legend and prolific rules writer, Howard has been involved in the writing of wargames rules for decades. With such titles as Osprey's "Mad Dogs With Guns," the famous "Science Versus Pluck or Too Much for the Mahdi" and the infamous pulp gaming standard "Astounding Tales", Howard has contributed about as much to gaming as anyone in the industry.

If you have ever been to an HMGS East convention and wondered what all the noise was coming from a certain gaming table, it was probably one of Howard's famous participation games. Part Beer and Pretzels, part theater and part...well, I am not sure what the last part is, Howard's games are a treat usually reserved only for those making the trek to Lancaster, PA or other points East. This year, we lucky Midwesterners have the chance to take advantage of what our east coast brethren have had for decades with not one, but two Howard Whitehouse original participation games at Little Wars 2018.

Howard will be running two games at Little Wars using some of our extensive miniature lines Friday and Saturday. Who knows when Howard will make it this way again, so I strongly suggest you check the program guide and find a game that works for you...and get a chance to meet the man himself!
