Pendraken Releases Galore!

This release had been delayed for a little while as we did some extra work on it, but it's here now! This is a massive piece of kit, nearly 300g worth of metal, and it looks excellent.

Coming in 5 pieces, you've got the train wagon itself, then two bogies, the gun barrel and a small winch for loading the ammo. Sizewise, the train wagon is 127mm long, with a 105mm long barrel. The bogey wheels are around 8mm apart which should be just about right for N-scale track. It doesn't come with any crew, but the BP55 code (Heavy Artillery crews) would suit fine and can be bought separately. We may look at adding some specific crewmen at some point in the future (without bases so they can stand on the train itself), but that'll depend on demand for them.

There was originally going to be a handrail to go down each side of the wagon, but the small diameter on the master sculpt was so fine that it wasn't viable to cast. It would be a fairly simple custom job though, a few small drill holes for some wire pins to go in, and then some wire linked across them would look just the part.

We're also continuing the expansion of our Napoleonic ranges this month, with the arrival of the Nassau contingent! This little range can of course be used on both sides of the period, serving with the French in the Peninsular before switching allegiance after Leipzig in 1813 and becoming part of Wellington's army.

Napoleonics - Nassau
NNA1 Line infantry / Fusiliers (30) £4.50
NNA2 Light infantry / Voltigeur (16) £2.50
NNA3 Light infantry / Grenadier (16) £2.50
NNA4 Foot command (30) £4.50
NNA5 Mounted Officers (5) £1.50

We'll be looking at putting together a smaller army pack for these as well, more details to come on that. Next up for the Naps will be the Prussians, which are going into master moulds in the next fortnight and should be released before the end of the year hopefully. After that we'll be heading back to the French to fill in some gaps.

So, time for some pics:

NNA1 - Line / Fusiliers

NNA2 - Lights / Voltigeurs

NNA3 - Lights / Grenadiers

NNA4 - Foot command

NNA5 - Mounted Officers

Last but by no means least, the latest addition to our Modern Vehicles range is the T-62!  With over 20,000 produced and used all over the world, this one will be an extremely useful addition to our expanding ranges.

Blitzkrieg Commander!

Most folks will know by now that we acquired the rights to the Commander series of rulesets earlier this year and we've now started the process of revamping them.  First on the operating table will be Blitzkrieg Commander, and we're aiming for a reprint and release around January/February of 2016.  The rules are currently away with Steve Hardy (author of Warband) and we should have the first draft with us before the end of the year.

In the meantime, we're asking for any feedback/suggestions/input from previous and potential gamers, anything you think worked, anything which might need a tweak, etc.  Our number one aim with this process is to keep intact the Blitzkrieg Commander rules that so many people have enjoyed and played for years, but give them a modern refresh.  We'd love to hear all of your views, so head over to the Forum and add your thoughts in the new Blitzkrieg Commander section.

Latest Releases!

We've released a whole load of new goodies over the past few months and that's continuing into October as well.  So far this month we've added:

> Flodden Expansion - As part of a customer-led project, we've added an extra 22 codes to our 16th Century English/Scots range.

In The Pipeline!

After we started taking your suggestions on them last month, we've already had the first batch of WWII Polish through from the sculptor.  We'll have a couple more batches before the end of the year, then we'll just need to add the gun pieces from our other modeller.

The second half of the show season is in full swing,  but we've still found time to get some more goodies released!

Latest Releases

The run of new releases has continued with another 25 new codes added to the catalogue!  This month we've seen:

Waterloo British (Part 2) - With the addition of the artillery, limbers and personalities, this range is now complete and we can move onto some of the other nations over the coming months.

Nap French generals - We couldn't have the French wandering aimlessly around the table without Boney to keep them in check, so we've also released the French personalities.

Shows

With Border Reiver and Colours behind us, we've got another four outings to go this year, so we hope to see a lot of you on the road somewhere.  Next up is the World Wargames event, taking place at Castle Donington Exhibition Centre on the 3rd/4th October.  There's not much time left for pre-orders for this one, but we've extended the deadline to midnight on Sunday 27th to give people a little extra time.

After Derby/Donington our next outing will be a slightly more local affair as we make the short trip down to the Royal Armouries in Leeds for the Fiasco show.  Pre-orders for this one need to be with us by Sun 18th please.

And finally, some very important news for any of our customers attending the Crisis show at the beginning of November.  As you may already be aware, we were unfortunately unable to attend Crisis this year due to the costs/sales involved, which was a real shame.  However the good news is that our friend Ian at Eagle Figures has agreed to take any pre-orders across for us, ready for folks to collect at the show!

As with any other show, we'll need your pre-orders into us at least 7 days before the event, so before Sat 31st October please.  We'll get them cast up, pass them to Ian, and they'll be ready to collect from the Eagle Figures stand at Crisis!  One quick note, all orders will need to be paid for in advance please, just to keep everything nice and easy for everyone.

Apologies

First off, we'd like to apologise to everyone for the delays on their orders during July/August.  We've had a busier summer than normal so with us all taking a bit of much-needed time off here and there, we had dropped behind on the order turnaround.  We've worked hard over the past fortnight to rectify this and we're back on track and despatching most orders within 10 days at the moment.

In better news, Dave has also now gone part-time at his day job as a lecturer, meaning he's available to work at Pendraken a lot more than previously.  This has already benefitted the release schedule and we're hoping to continue in that vein through to the end of the year.

WWII & Modern Vehicles - Just so we weren't neglecting any of the historical gamers, we've also got a batch of new vehicles ready to go, including some WWII British trucks and also the mighty Conqueror!

In The Pipeline!

As quickly as we release them, more new sculpts arrive!  This month is all 20th Century goodies, including some WWI mortars and tractors, more WWII French infantry and also the popular T-62!

Minibits Corner!

Over on the Minibits side of things we've just got a couple of new releases for you this month:

i-94 Decals - The guys at I-94 have released a trio of new decal sets, covering WWII Italian aircraft and some very handy ambulance markings as well.
