Hi,
Since their inception I have purchased a few of the intial NWG rulesets (Normandy, Star port) but I see they have exploded into lots of news ones (Larger scale actions). Are the larger scale version using the same mechanics as before ?
Cheers
Cheerios!
FiveCore Brigade Commander and Company Command are still FiveCore games, just with the same mechanics adapted to larger battles. (but the same rough figure count, 10-15 stands)
Its not a complete 1-to-1, but its as closer as you can get and incidentally works surprisingly well 🙂
Laserstorm is specifically aimed at the same scale as the old Space Marine rules from GW (so lots of individual tank models in 6mm (or thereabouts)
Anything else you’re curious about in particular and I’d be happy to clarify?
Thanks.
It was more I played the early rulesets and then drifted off into other things. I get the wargame vault emails but the simply collected in a folder and when I looked I saw lots of expansions.
I’ll get my ww2 and modern rules out, play a few games and then take a look at the larger scale ones while I read some of the blog reports in this thread.
Cheers
Oh okay yeah.
A few of them changed a fair bit based on player input and suggestions.
Have Normandy, parsecs and no end in sight changed much ?
No End was changed a fair bit (adding more options and fixing up things that worked but could have been better), the others are basically the same.
Thanks
