The Tithe Barn in Crepon,Calvados. The barn has been around since about 1500 and is still standing today. I wanted a unique buiding for my WW2 Normandy/bocage board and this was perfect. I might also use it for wargaming some different periods as well. The structure is scratch built form foam card and wood. Hope you like it ?

Thanks. I realised after making the wooden roof beams that they will never really be seen.

What technique was used to do the texture of the mortared stonework walls?  was it kapa foamboard?  I am having trouble finding an easily peelable foamboard equivalent here in the US.

Yes it was kapa foamboard. Kapa seems to be the easiest foamboard to work(tried lots of other brands and they simply dont compare) with and I used a simple crafting blade to mark out the brickwork stone work. Sorry you cannot get hold of it.

Of course the beams are going to be seen. Every game somebody will take the roof off and say “look – it’s got beams!”.

    Superb. 👍

Apparently Kapa line(Called 3A Composites in USA) has 3 American distributors according to thier website. Try sending a email and ask where you can buy it ?
