Typhon?

Ok, so I’ve bought some of Rapier miniatures exellent 6mm ancients fantasy figures and I’d like to play some solo narrative skirmish campaigns with them, think Oddyseus, Jason and the Argonauts etc. Looking around for a set of rules to use I came across Typhon by Alternative Armies has anyone played these and do you think they would be a good fit? If not, can you recomend any other rule set.(preferably with few to no counters on the table, for 6mm individually based minis the impact of counters on the board is just to jarring for my tastes.)

I’ve not played Typhon, but your description suggested pulp to me. Have you thought about Broadsword Adventures? It’s Conanesque pulp fantasy, so no Elves or Orcs. I think it might suit a cinematic Greek myth game. There was a free download of the core rules (try Wargame Vault, I think) so you can try the core rules to see if it suits you.

I’d actually prefer something geared specifically towards Greek mythology but thats just because I’m lazy 😉

The Broadsword Adventures encounter system has got me intrigued though.

I have, but haven’t played with, Labors of the Gods.

You create characters, monsters, etc.  A Greek mythology skirmish game.

You might also want to have a look at ‘Of Gods and Mortals’ – which is Greek mythology based. Inexpensive, like all the Osprey rules.

That uses the ‘Song of Blades’ system (roll one, two or three dice to activate, but end your turn if you roll two or more failures)
