Streaking to Earth now new in the HOF 15mm Science Fiction range. Two Drop Pods and a Drop Coffin! Very easy to assemble kits. Excellent value and a launch (or should that be insertion) offer of 10% off a kit, 15% off three kits, 20% off a mega bundle of ten. More awesome from the mind of Fred Richards and into Security Force Alpha. Great for GRUNTZ and USEME and other systems. Click through for more information or go to the range. Mega Offers ends 9am GMT 1st August 2019. Express Elevator to Hell going down!
Thanks.

Coolio.
Like the term drop coffin and like the nod to Hudson.

Love that they come with the crater as a separate piece so you can build it unused!

Agreed! When I saw the craters aren’t integral, my mind went immediately to the idea of modelling the inside of a spaceship “drop pod bay” with a dozen of the pods arrayed in neat lines. Not saying I’ll definitely go ahead with it, but the idea beckons, and the closed pods are quite cheap…
I’m also thinking that the pods could work in 6mm as ones that deploy small tanks. IIRC, in the Heavy Gear universe, the CEF deploys hovertanks using giant drop pods similar in design to these.

Thanks chaps. This was a big project in the HOF range and the nods were purposeful. Stay Frosty out there!

Gav, I think you may have an error in your pricing on your site, as a single closed pod is showing a 1.80 in the thumbs, but 7.20 in the detailed view. I’d take 2 dozen at 1.80!

£7.20 in the cart though.

It’ll be the higher price then, especially considering what the bundle of three has been priced at. When I said the closed pods are cheap I had only noticed the lower, presumably incorrect price. The higher price is reasonable but never mind building a drop pod launch bay with a dozen of the things.
