Coolio.
Like the term drop coffin and like the nod to Hudson.
Love that they come with the crater as a separate piece so you can build it unused!
Agreed! When I saw the craters aren’t integral, my mind went immediately to the idea of modelling the inside of a spaceship “drop pod bay” with a dozen of the pods arrayed in neat lines. Not saying I’ll definitely go ahead with it, but the idea beckons, and the closed pods are quite cheap…
I’m also thinking that the pods could work in 6mm as ones that deploy small tanks. IIRC, in the Heavy Gear universe, the CEF deploys hovertanks using giant drop pods similar in design to these.
Thanks chaps. This was a big project in the HOF range and the nods were purposeful. Stay Frosty out there!
GBS
Gav, I think you may have an error in your pricing on your site, as a single closed pod is showing a 1.80 in the thumbs, but 7.20 in the detailed view. I’d take 2 dozen at 1.80!
£7.20 in the cart though.
It’ll be the higher price then, especially considering what the bundle of three has been priced at. When I said the closed pods are cheap I had only noticed the lower, presumably incorrect price. The higher price is reasonable but never mind building a drop pod launch bay with a dozen of the things.
These are super cool! Love the drop coffins ⚰️
