Alternative Armies has two Flintloque releases coming in February. First up have a new artillery piece cast in white metal and resin being prepared now. It is based on the three barrelled cannon held in a French museum that dates from the 18th century so it could be used in straight 28mm Historical gaming too. Click through to read and see more. in the bottom left corner there are two of these three-barrels guns (although on naval carriages) …with a typical French guy “working” on one of them. 🙂

There is an article in ‘Arquebusier’ the magazine of the P&S society that has them at either Ramilles or Malplaquet, as being the only known battlefield deployment of them.

Thanks Chaps. That indeed was the inspiration for the cannon and its style. They were used at least once but a mighty scary artillery piece…for the user!
