Pendraken Warband Fantasy

After our first batch before Christmas we're back with another wave of Fantasy releases!

We've got all sorts ready for you this time, including troglodytes, unicorns, pegasi, gargoyles, worms, eagles, vultures, tortoises, beasts and even a giant Venus flytrap! Plus the Dark Elves get some spider riders and the Undead range gets an excellent Dark Coach. These are all a variety of new sculpts and revamped older figures, courtesy of the talented Phil Lewis. And many of them will serve quite happily in games from 10mm upto 28mm so there's a lot of useful stuff here.

Pendraken / Minibits Roundup

After what was clearly a rather different 2020, many of our plans didn’t quite work out and you’d think that maybe we’d try and tone it down for 2021… but why would we want to do that?! Full steam ahead with maximum shiny!

We’ll list all of our releases in this one thread, both our 10mm Pendraken items, and our wider wargaming Minibits and third-party stuff. We’re producing new stuff for all periods, scales and genres these days, so make sure to check in and see what we’re up to!

There’s a review of 2020 on our Forum here and we managed over 200 releases which can be seen here.

And this year we’ve got even more planned so come and have a read through our optimistic plans for 2021 here.

And now on to our first releases of the year!

It’s our first release of 2021 and also a long-awaited one as the Guard have arrived! We’d had these sculpted a few years back but they were lost in the void known as ‘Sculpting Drawer’… But they’re here now and ready for deployment against those pesky Brits!

Two quick notes on these, obviously the Guard were present through until 1815 but we’ve put them in our 1809 French range for the time being, with their earlier descriptions. When we add an 1815 French range in the future they can be moved over to there. Also, the Young and Middle Guard wouldn’t have been issued with Eagles and would have bare poles with fanions instead. As we don’t currently produce those we’ve left the eagles on for the time being and folks can simply snip them off if they’re going to make their own flags.

We were going to save these for the next batch of Fantasy releases but I know that a lot of people have been asking for them so I thought I’d pop them out as their own release instead!

The original Night Orc sculpts have been tidied up a little and then Techno has added a few extras to give us 3 spearmen and 3 archers, combined with a leader for both packs. These were always a popular little range so it’s nice to have them back online!

Pendraken – Minibits News

From 1st January 2021 there will be changes to the ordering process that some of our customers will need to be aware of. Please note that this only affects customers in the EU, there are no changes at all for people outside of the EU.

1. Firstly, EU customers will no longer pay UK VAT (20%) on their orders. This will reduce the price of our standard packs from £5.50 to £4.58 instead.

2. EU customers will now pay the VAT of their own country when the package arrives in their country, similar to how you would currently receive an international package (eg. from the USA or Australia).

3. You may have to pay a handling fee to your own Customs department, but this will vary from country to country. From experience, not all packages are caught by the customs people so some customers might find that the package arrives without any charges at all.

4. All of this may change again on July 1st when the EU’s planned VAT OSS system comes in. At this point we would start charging you the correct VAT for your country as part of your order and you would not have to pay any
internal VAT charges or handling fees before you receive your package.

5. There will be no changes to our shipping rates at this time, we will hold these until we can see what increases are put in place by the various postal services.

If there's any questions then let us know, but please don't start getting into a political rants about this. It's happened now so we'll all just have to wait and see what happens over the coming months. No matter what the people in suits decide in the coming months, we'll still be making little soldiers and posting them out to people all over the world!

And for anyone looking to put together some Pegasus Bridge scenarios we’ve got a lovely model of Café Gondrée for you. We’ll have a look at rescaling this one to 15mm and maybe 10mm as well, and we’ve also got the bridge itself in the pending pile to work on in the new year.

Our final batch of releases for 2020 sees the revamp and expansion of our entire Panzer III range, as well as a few bonus extras as well!

The new Pz III’s include the oft-requested short 50mm L/42 version, as well as a Flammpanzer variant too. And for those who really need them, we’ve got the ‘pig’s snout’ mantlet versions of the StuG III G’s! Elsewhere we’ve revamped the Wirbelwind on our newer Pz IV chassis and also added the Ostwind version.

And finally we’ve added the Soviet captured Pz III’s, which were fitted with 76mm guns and designated Su-76i.

New 10mm Warband Fantasy

As we trundle towards the end of what’s been a pretty terrible year, we’ve got a few batches of shiny new releases to bring you a bit of Christmas cheer!

First up we’ve got the initial wave of our Fantasy expansion, containing all of the big boys! We’ve got Fire and Stone Giants, Storm and Plague Elementals, Forest Trolls, Blood Demons and Terror Birds! These monster types are all big sculpts, coming in at between 25-32mm tall generally, so they’ll work for all manner of Fantasy games outside of 10mm as well.

And then….. BEARS! You’ve asked for them for years and they’re finally here, in normal, armoured or saddled varieties.
