The latest update to the Camperdown project has seen the addition of the three British 74-gun third rates that formed the spearhead of the Windward Division and included Admiral Duncan’s flagship Venerable, alongside Triumph and Bedford.
In the post I showcase the three additions and take a look at the British commander, Admiral of the Blue, Adam Duncan, his career up to that point and the way the battle was fought, with a more focused look at the role of these three ships.

Great stuff JJ.
Your output (of both ships and blog posts) is prodigious. 🙂
Great looking ships; how do you glue them to the perspex stands.

Hi AH,
Thank you, you’re too kind, and I can’t wait to see both fleets in action on a big table, which keeps the motivation levels high.
Cheers

Thank you ‘h’, I simply apply a general adhesive such as Uhu and smear it around the base of the model to stop it being too heavy in areas and then carefully lower it into place.
You will see that one model betrays a certain amount of spread around the rudder and stern, but the glue dries clear and creates a slight gentle appearance of a wake which is not distracting to the eye, especially when the models are out on a sea cloth.
