Whether you like to admit it or not, if you are a gamer you love dice. We added some cool new ones to the site tonight including some metallic plated ones that look particularly cool. Allen likes the "Aluminum" ones because they are metallic but not shiny.
Disclaimer: We are pretty sure that the "gold" and "silver" refer to the color of the coating, not actual material.
Some years ago we produced some rather nice and very popular dice with our Pie and Pint logo on one face, where the six spots are normally located. They were not only popular with gamers but were also said to have incredible powers way beyond just rolling well in a tight corner. With a reputation like this it wasn't surprising when they sold out in quick order and gamers with the old white Lard Dice are marked as true veterans of Lard. For some unexplained reason we never restocked them. Until now that is. However, rather than make the old white dice of the grognard available again, we thought we'd allow that first run to remain unique and go for a different colour. So, the Big Red Dice was born.
A nice size for gaming, 16mm in size, the dice feature the classic logo again on the six face with white spots on sides 1 to 5. They really are a thing of beauty. And very red. To purchase a pack of a dozen Big Red Lardy Dice is simple.

Something we’ve been working away on for a while is a very handy counter set for the Hammer’s Slammers:The Crucible rulebook. Made for us by Beadspoke Designs, we’re very pleased to say we’ll have stocks at Salute on Saturday – the set contains over 70 counters and markers, including order counters for Rapid and Concentrated Fire, damage markers, infantry suppression markers, missile markers, blast markers (for outlining mortar and artillery zones) plus 25 counters to allocate command points. We’ve even got some smart compartmentalised boxes to keep them in, as you can see.
Apart from the command point counters (which are plain tiddlywinks) the rest are laser cut and engraved from translucent acrylic. Although they come unmarked, it’s a pretty simple process to ink them yourself with acrylic paint from a brush or pen – I did it with some Imperial Skies turn rulers at the start of last year. The photos below show a set which I’ve inked up for use, which only took a few minutes.
