One of the games played at last month’s meeting of the Devon Wargames Group was a recreation of the Battle of Mobile Bay using Dawn of Iron from Scary Biscuits Studios.

With a few adaptations it seems the game produced lots of drama with the Union seemingly snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

That sounds like a banger of a game, talk about a twist.  I might have to look into these rules for an imginations game that a friend is planning.  He’s been trying to decide what rules to use (his old standby was Game Of Admirals but it is a bit too cumbersome for more modern gamers).
