I’ve decided to play some Cold War games after reading the Team Yankee novel. I’m going with 6mm scale as the models are pretty inexpensive and the ranges don’t look so out of place on a 6′ x 4′ table. (I think 15mm tanks are too big to play on a that size table.)
My first models are Russian T-55 tanks from GHQ and I’m very happy with them.

Or you can see me paint these on YouTube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n1KiVubYVUo
The best player, isn't always the winning player.
I’ve completed some US tanks and have put together a video showing how I painted them.
Now that I have some painted models for two different armies I can actually play a few games. The games will be pretty small, given the number of models I have painted, but small actions can be a lot of fun.
For the US, I’ve painted some M1A2 Abrams. These weren’t available during the Cold War era, but I will be using these as proxies for the M1 Abrams until I can get some of them painted.

That’s disgraceful! Painting 20mm models and then claiming that they’re 6mm?!
We’re on to you…

The grid on the mat under the models are 1″ square. I swear these are 6mm.

A likely story… 😉
